1. Preferred Brand : Any brand as long as after service is good.

2. Budget : 1.3k-1.7k (can top up a bit if I can get more value for money)

3. Usage : Watch movies (most of the time in HD), internet surfing, play games (most of the time just Red Alert 3 and Football Manager)

4. Preferred laptop/screen size : 14' - 15"

5. Extra bits : HDMI port(s), min 2GB RAM (or do I need more?), dedicated graphic card (no Integrated Graphic Card by Intel), 500GB hard disk is sufficient

Thanks smile.gif

You can consider this. But you have to install the OS yourself and also get a cooler pad.  biggrin.gif
Asus X454LJ-VX044D X-Series 14" Laptop/ Notebook (i3-5010U, 4GB, 500GB, NV GT920M, NO Windows) RM1,535/-
Check these out.  biggrin.gif
1. Dell Vostro 14 5480-20452G-DW7SSDMC Laptop/ Notebook (i5-5200U, 256GB SSD, 4GB, NV GT740M, W7HP) RM3,380/-
2. Lenovo ThinkPad E450 20DC003EMY 14" Laptop/ Notebook (i7-5500U, 1TB, 4GB, AMD R7 M260, W7P DG W8.1 Pro) RM3,178/-
Asus X554LJ-XX104D 15.6" Laptop/ Notebook (i5-5200U, 500GB, 4GB, NV GT920M, NO Windows) RM1,745/-
Dell Inspiron 14 3443-20452G-DOS 14" Laptop/ Notebook (i5-5200U, 500GB, 4GB, NV 820M, DOS) RM1,900/-

Both does not come with an OS but should suffice for your use. But if you want a better after sale service, you can opt for Dell. But u need to top up more a bit.  icon_rolleyes.gif

Ok. Thank you for the recommendation! biggrin.gif One more question. Will it make any difference (better performance to justify the extra cost) if I upgrade the RAM to 8GB based on the two laptops you suggested? Thanks smile.gif

More ram doesn't mean better performance. If you don't multitask a lot, 4gb is more than enough already. But if you like to surf the Internet and process some huge database/video at the same time, you may need 8gb ram. However, please be reminded that your windows will have to be in 64 bit in order to utilise the 8gb ram yea. Hope this helps. biggrin.gif
Dell Inspiron 7447 14" GTX850M should meet your requirement. laugh.gif
