Usage: Gaming and usual uni stuff
Preferred laptop/screen size: 15"

Hello guys, currently looking at the Acer V Nitro at RM3,999. At that price point, is the V Nitro a good choice, or are there better models? I know there's a Lenovo with the exact same specs and price but I read reviews that the screen quality of the Acer is better. But I'm not sure about other brands now like MSi, ASUS, etc.

Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Thanks! Seems like the ASUS is about RM200 cheaper than the Acer but the MSi is RM200 more expensive. But they both have a disc drive so that itself gives them an advantage over the Acer I feel.

Z5 is something I've considered before and it is same specs, same price but does not include OS so in the end Z5 is quite a bit more expensive, for maybe a better cooling system. And actually I don't really like the look of the Z5 so that's a pretty big minus in my book.

I have considered Q5 before also, but again the RM4.2k price is without OS. After OS it's closer to RM4.5k edi so it's not really an option for me right now. Also, studying in UK I don't think heat is that big an issue for me.

Seems like the G551JW is not on the ASUS MY website, but there are places selling it. Maybe their website is just outdated?
