acer nitro might be good choice... with new gtx960m compare the old version 860m (heat issue)...+ lightweight... quad core still gv pretty unbearable heat sometimes.

Preferred Brand: None
Budget: <4k
Usage: Gaming and usual uni stuff
Preferred laptop/screen size: 15"

Hello guys, currently looking at the Acer V Nitro at RM3,999. At that price point, is the V Nitro a good choice, or are there better models? I know there's a Lenovo with the exact same specs and price but I read reviews that the screen quality of the Acer is better. But I'm not sure about other brands now like MSi, ASUS, etc.

Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Z5 is something I've considered before and it is same specs, same price but does not include OS so in the end Z5 is quite a bit more expensive, for maybe a better cooling system. And actually I don't really like the look of the Z5 so that's a pretty big minus in my book.

Thanks for your suggestion though!

how bout the Q5? price same as z5 i suppose. with simpler design.

at first i'm thinking about getting the ASUS ROG JW series, but then they say it heat up easily due to being too thin hence bad ventilation etc... ACER and MSI too i've been looking at it, i thought that if i go MSI, i rather buy z5.
as for ACER, previously the 860series there's heat issue, but not sure about the 960 series.
but it seems like the best bang for buck if there's not much problem related to it.
