I am playing CS: Go, NBA2K16 and FIFA16 mostly for my PC gaming.  Want a stable fps tongue.gif

Do you have any other suggestion rather than K501LX? MSI or HP or something? If the laptop equipped with FHD, pretty sure that GPU that comes with the laptop is good enough to run FHD pictures. Also I'm scared that i5 5200u cant take too much work on it  hmm.gif

Edited: I found this: MSI CX61 (2QF-1496MY), I7-4712MQ,8GB,1TB,2GB GT940M 15.6' NOTEBOOK
*
This MSI CX61 doesn't come with a FHD screen fyi. biggrin.gif

If you wish to go for FHD in MSI or HP, you have to squeeze out more than your current budget.
MSI GP62 2QE-068MY Leopard Gaming 15.6" Laptop/ Notebook (i5-4210H, 1TB, 4GB, NV GTX940M, W10H)
HP Pavilion Touchsmart 15-ab062TX 15.6" Laptop/ Notebook (i7-5500U, 2TB, 12GB, NV 940M, W8.1)

Both models come with better processors than the Asus K501LX but weaker GPU. If you have more budget, you can opt for the MSI GP62 imho. Powerful processor that is able to utilise the GTX GPU for your better gaming experience.

Photoshop/lightroom require good processor to handle the photos. Are you okay with DOS laptop? If you do,
1. Dell Inspiron 14 5458-50452G-DOS Laptop/ Notebook (i7-5500U, 500GB, 4GB, NV 920M, NO Windows)
2. HP 15-ac075TX 15.6" Laptop/ Notebook (i7-5500U, 1TB, 8GB, AMD R5 M330, NO Windows)
3. Dell Inspiron 14 5459-20452G-DOS Laptop/ Notebook (i5-6200U, 500GB, 4GB, AMD R5 M335, NO Windows)
4. Acer Aspire E5-574G-54DV 15.6" Laptop/ Notebook (i5-6200U, 4GB, 1TB, NV 920M, W10H)

Hope this helps. biggrin.gif

yea was really interested in illegear

is cyberforge any good?
*
They are using the same Clevo model as Illegear.

Hardware such as GPU and CPU will be the same intel/amd or Nvidia/amd.

The problem is after sale warranty since they are base in singapore but they have set up shop in Malaysia if not mistaken. Look around Lyn thread because there is one Cyberforge thread and ask him/her directly.

Many may say that Acer products are faulty and their after sales service is atrocious. But every brand has their respective QC. To me, Acer is still a reliable brand. However, just because of certain notebook have their own problem and fail to meet their expectation, they blame the brand. Hence, the bad name. Based on personal experience, my father has been using Acer for almost 5 years without problem. Acer is gradually improving but their after sales service still not very good. biggrin.gif

Here is another post by a forumer. He regretted for selling off his 3 Acer laptops. thumbup.gif

So my laptop just died a few fays ago after 6years and I kinda need a new laptop

1. Preferred Brand
- Any
2. Budget
- <2500rm
3. Usage
- mainly work/school work, occasional stream and some gaming (Dota2)
4. Preferred laptop/screen size
- 14'' or bigger but size doesnt really matter as much.
5. Additional note
- Previous laptop had overheating issue so would be nice if the next laptop i get wouldn't have that issue. Also I travel a lot with my laptop.<- doesnt matter as much if its heavy or not. Kinda got used to the weight. Just as an added bonus would be nice if its lightweighted.

Preferred brand: Anything except Acer. Wont even consider buying them
Budget: Not specified
Usage: Gaming primarily
Preferred screen size: 14 inch

Looking for a 14 inch, 1080p gaming laptop that's as slim and lightweight as it can get. Not really looking for anything smaller or bigger than 14 inch cause I kinda need the portability. 1080p cause I never really appreciate higher resolution than 1080p on a small screen. Price doesn't matter much (cheaper is better but just throw away any suggestions that match even if you think it's too expensive).

Razer Blade 2015 (1080p version) seems like a very good match but I'm just wondering if any of you guys know anything better

Hi, I would like to look for a laptop that's light (1.2-1.6kg) that is below RM4000. Currently looking at MacBook Air, but I've used Windows my whole life so I'm still skeptical to switch OS. Can someone recommend me a laptop that's Windows based around that?

No brand biased, any brand would do. Just want it light and around 13"-15" screen.

Why is it that Dell is more expensive than Asus even though Asus have the better specs?

So far I like the Vostro very much, just curious about the price tag

Y40-80 comes with an i7 but a weaker graphic card. GTX850M performs better than the Radeon R9 M275. More over, 7447 is equipped with an i5-4200H has a higher clock speed and higher GPU clock speed than the i7-5500U. If you were to focus more on gaming and reliability, go for the Dell 7447. The onsite warranty is more reliable. But of course, the battery life in 7447 is much shorter than the Y40-80. The JBL speaker in Y40-80 is better than the 7447 one. And lastly, the Y40-80 has a better look than 7447 imho. Hope this helps.  biggrin.gif

This is really helpful. Thank you. I think I'll go with Dell 7447 since they have a better aftersales services. thumbup.gif
