Thanks bro.. what if the stock really runs out? any other option available?

And two questions to ask :-

a) Graphic card higher means better? For example 950m is better than 850m?
b) Side track abit, laptop shops in low yat offering zero installment ?

Thanks smile.gif
*
If you are okay with DOS laptop, you can get the new model from Dell. A powerful processor with a excellent graphic card performance. Check out the specs. Some shops have started selling this laptop. biggrin.gif
Dell Inspiron 15 7559-30814G-DOS 15.6" Laptop/ Notebook (i5-6300HQ, 8GB, 1TB, 8G Cache, NV GTX960M, NO Windows)

a) Usually you can put it that way. But there is not much difference in performance between GTX950M and GTX850M. But if you were to compare GT920M and GT940M, GT920M will definitely a better GPU. thumbup.gif
b) Not so sure about the zero installment rate. Might have to ask other sifus. biggrin.gif

Hello. Could you please suggest me a laptop as per below details.

1. Preferred Brand
Gaming Laptops, ASUS,MSI or any other?

2. Budget
3 to 3.8

3. Usage
Office works, movies/anime, Dota 2

4. Preferred laptop/screen size
15.6
*
Check out both of them. Asus ROG one comes with a better GPU. But the build material is not as good as the MSI one. Hope this helps. biggrin.gif
MSI GP72 2QD-008MY Leopard Gaming 17.3" Laptop/ Notebook (i7-5700HQ, 1TB, 4GB, NV GTX940M, W8.1)
Asus ROG GL552JX-DM174H 15.6" Gaming Laptop/ Notebook (i7-4720HQ, 4GB, 1TB, NV GTX950M, W8.1)

1. Preferred Brand - Any, msi?
2. Budget - below 2k
3. Usage - dota 2 and other decent games
4. Preferred laptop/screen size - 15/16"
*
MSI produces gaming laptops only. So it's kinda hard to get one with 2k budget. 2k laptop cannot really handle decent games. Unless you play the games with low/med settings. Hope this helps. biggrin.gif
Acer Aspire E5-571G-54MRr 15.6" Laptop/ Notebook (i5-5200U, 4GB, 500GB, NV 840M, W8.1)

1. Preferred Brand : Dell, Asus, acer, hp, etc ...
2. Budget : around 3k +- 200 is fine
3. Usage - student life (assignment, office works, surf internet, prefer light weight, no gaming)
4. Preferred laptop/screen size - 15.6"

if budget allow please recommend the laptop with
- skylake processor
- full hd
- dedicated graphic card, either nvidia or amd is fine
- no dvd drive as it is useless for me
*
Skylake laptops are not cheap. If you wish to opt for a i7 skylake with a 15.6" screen, they are usually more than 2kg. Dell Inspiron 15 5559-50814G-DOS Laptop/ Notebook (i7-6500U, 1TB, 8GB, AMD R5 M335, NO Windows)
This one 2.2kg. If you are okay with DOS laptop, this model suits you. But no FHD and it has a dvd drive.

But if you wish to remove skylake from your requirement, you can opt for this model.
Dell Inspiron 15 7548T-2061SG-W10 15.6" Laptop/ Notebook (i5-5200U, 1TB, 6GB, Intel, W10H)
It has FHD, no dvd drive, 15.6", good battery life. But as drawback, it doesn't have a dedicated GPU. Hope this helps.

Just wondering got i7 version with skylake ?
Yet what the price for the i5 version with skylake which you mention ?
*
Got Skylake has released all three i3, i5 and i7. The price for the model that I mention is about 3.6k including GST. But if you buy online, you can get cheaper, some dealer sell them at 3.4k+/- biggrin.gif

just wondering, if plug in ssd will void the warranty ?
yet I don't get the warranty, 2 years pro support ? what means rclxub.gif

and dell malaysia website haven't update it hmm.gif
*
All Dell laptop comes with onsite warranty service. If your laptop encounters any problem, feel free to give them a call. They will come to your doorstep very soon. Usually on the same day or the next business day. Furthermore, usually add in a M.2 SSD will not void the warranty. So, no worries. biggrin.gif

Is acer nitro 960m good?
I want a laptop for work and gaming.
Gaming like dota 2 And csgo only.
*
Yeah good enough for gaming. But CSGO and D2 do not require a very good graphic card to run at ultra settings. GTX960M is very powerful for the games you play already. It's still entirely up to you to decide anyway. Who knows you will fancy play graphic demanding games like Witcher 3 one day. biggrin.gif

As the advise from the sales person, i7-6000U is dual core.
U is 2 core 4 thread
HQ is 4 core 8 thread

Any advise on this?
I dont know the performance of the 2 proc.
*
Let's put it in a more general way to understand. More cores mean a more powerful processor. Enable multi-tasking and render graphic, videos and photos more easily. But as a drawback, the battery life of the laptop with HQ processor will usually be very short. So, people tend to buy U processor if they need a decent processor with good battery life. biggrin.gif

Hello, is me again tongue.gif paiseh to kacau ah..

Just to clarify:-

1. I read comments about Dell products not lasting, is it true? ( I understand it depends on usage also)
2. Illegear z5 can be considered as well if able to squeeze out extra $$? as I read a lot of good reviews on it.
3. Besides, any Acer model can match with my requirements :- NVidia graphic card, good cooling system, i5/i7 & SSD.

Thanks in advance. Much appreciate !  smile.gif
*
1. Do not decide a brand based on a faulty product. All brand produces faulty products. Dell has awesome after sales service. Most of their laptops have 2 year onsite warranty. So, you can always call them to fix your laptop as long as the warranty is not expired. biggrin.gif

2. Yes, illegear Z5 is a good gaming laptop. Good quality build and good after sales service too. But, a bit more expensive. There are also other features to consider beside the specs. For eg, the quality of the speaker, cooling system, design and etc. thumbup.gif

3. Acer VN7 nitro black edition. Acer is going to release more gaming laptops with Skylake soon. But not so sure when. biggrin.gif

Feel free to ask questions. No problem at all. biggrin.gif

1. Preferred Brand = Lenovo or Asus is preferred =) Might be open to other brands, but no Dell (bad experience with the brand)

2. Budget = Rm2k+-

3. Usage = General Work. Light gaming (LoL, Gw2, Dota)

4. Preferred laptop/screen size, 14'-15'. should be light enough to carry around to college. Hopefully decent battery life.

Thanks in advance!

Check out these models. The Asus one will be slightly higher than 2k. biggrin.gif

Msg well noted bro ! thumbup.gif After consideration, I think I will give a try to either Dell 7447 / Dell 7559.

After a short searching of info and pros & cons based on my opinion :-

Dell 7447 - i7
Pros
- Cheaper (Found it RM 3.8k on net)

Cons
- "Old" product (release in 2014 I assume)
- Lower Graphic Card (850m)
- Window 8.1
- HDD

Dell 7559 - i7
Pros
- New product (release 1st Oct I assume)
- Better Graphic card (960m)
- Window 10
- Hybrid 1TB HDD + 8GB cache (sry I don't know whats that but assume it will be better with +8gb cache rclxub.gif )

Cons
- More expensive (RM 4.8k)
- HDD (still prefer SSD after I read about the differences)

The basic info for comparison should be there hmm.gif Pls enlighten me if I missed out anything.
thumbup.gif Guess it also depends on the user's luck sometime ... hahah.. mine acer also tahan for 6 years dy tongue.gif
*
If your budget allows, go for the 7559. If not, 7447 is reliable enough liao. This model very famous one in term of reliability one. You have probably done a lot of research between those two models. But 7559 has a new skylake processor. There is a difference between those two processor in term of performance. biggrin.gif
