Thanks for your insight. Yes, I have look at it after reading around at the forum and ask some sifu like DS_Legacy. I am like never use a disk rom drive unless the need for any setup installation to be made. Nowadays most likely will limit to DotA 2. Yes Illegear is more pricey and I am still deciding between 7559 and Z5. One skylake vs one haswell.
*
z5 will be in skylake too... i think by this time, z5 should have skylake line up since last month, z5 has not selling any haswell lineup...

1. All option are open
2. 3500-4000
3. file downloading, movie 720p, web browsing, simple office work and games(DOTA2 and Steam's Robocraft)
In order what mostly use the NB from most to least.
4. 15 inch with good sound system or on par with Y480's JBL.

A shot explanation of my usage.
Currently using Y480 busted my left side speaker(cracking sound at certain pitch)
System get heat up when gaming one of the reason stop playing SC2 Graphic Card get too hot.
My NB still running fine for now, just look see in case my Y480 give way.

Thank you.

Looking for a new laptop..

1) No preference
2) RM2,500 - RM3,000
3) Usual college stuffs + some gaming action on the side (Doto and CS)
4) Preferably 14" and above

Currently looking at ASUS GL552JX which is recommended by a shop.
Any similar gaming laptop to compare with this?

Thanks in advance!

Im considering Asus A455lf which have core i5 5200u, 4gb ram, nvidia geforce 930m 2gb
I will use it for school purpose and some games such as dota 2
Can I run dota 2 at medium setting with smooth gameplay?

What games do you play? You will probably only entitled for a GT920M for a 2k budget laptop.
If you can squeeze out a bit more like about RM200, you can an i5 with GT920M as following. biggrin.gif

Asus A455LJ-WX004H A-Series 14" Laptop/ Notebook (i5-5200U, 4GB, 1TB, NV GT920M, W8.1)

With GT930M, yes. Medium settings is possible. But D2 eats up more than 2GB RAM. You may need to upgrade to 8GB ram for smooth gaming experience. biggrin.gif

I see, I will upgrade it in the future.
Hope it doesn't affect much gaming experience with only 4 gb ram :-S
