I noticed that too, that why I not fully listened to him.

Considering illegear z5's spec better than msi ge72 6qc. I might buy illegear, but just wait for christmas promotion  laugh.gif

Hi all, I read along that Illegear Z5 seem like been getting really good review and feedback. How about Illegear U4? Because it is cheaper. Also how about the reliability of Illegear products? I want to save the hassle to go around to claim warranty and the laptop broken down after the warranty period, this will cause some money to repair. Hopefully it can last like 5 years before got problem.

This is the first time I am aiming at gaming laptop. How about Illegear match with its competitors like Asus ROG, Acer Aspire Vitro, Lenovo Y40/50 etc. Excluding Razer, MSI and Alienware. Those a bit pricy for me.

My target would be probably around 3-4k but can stress a bit provided 0% installment. Any opinions are most welcomed.

Thank you

Z5's pretty decent.

So far, no complaints about illegear's service much.

And side note: Don't use installment to pay for a laptop.

If you can't buy it outright, you probably can't afford it.

Hi I bought a Illegear U4, good laptop for my needs. Decent build quality , nice display, speedy storage ( got a SSD) and really good battery life so far. Further, the battery is detachable.

Read that their products are reliable and they have really good warranty services, hopefully I won't need to verify that.

However if you game seriously I'll suggest you to get the Z5 or the Dell 7559 instead. This is because the U4 doesn't have a dedicated graphics card, only suitable for some light gaming. ( FM 2016, CS:GO, Dota 2 for me )

Satisfied with my purchase so far.

This is the first time I am going to get a gaming laptop. So a pre-buy preparation homework have to be done properly. So a stock Z5 for the price of RM 4399 is good enough?

Thanks for your reply. How's your dota 2 setting? I most probably will be playing Dota 2 most of the time and ROG G501 catch my eyes but the price push me away.

Hello there pc gods, need a little help.

1) any brand except acer ( if possible, had horrible experience with the brand )
2) price limit RM 2500 - 2900 -ish
3) using for solidworks, autocad and gaming like Fallout 4 and cityskyline..
4)dont care much about battery life but importantly less heat preferable.

*edit: if can could lead me to some sellers would be a great too if you guys don't mind.. biggrin.gif

You will need to at least require one very powerful laptop to run Fallout 4. At least an i5 with GT940M and 8GB ram. That is only for the low settings. If you wanna opt for med settings, you have to consider a GTX card. Most of the laptops that are equipped with GTX cards are more around 3.5k budget. biggrin.gif

illegear might be pricey due to its customised and its build is better + reliable service after sales. but satisfaction is there... i usually rank current gaming customised notebook (according to my choice), illegear > MSI > cyberforge > Razer > ROG > Acer > Aw (low specs that more or less with 2.5k gaming notebook)

have you consider dell inspiron 7559? look at it if you think you will less using disk rom drive. its in your budget range. and what games do you ply?? it is much better if gaming notebook, take 15" instead of 14"

Thanks for your insight. Yes, I have look at it after reading around at the forum and ask some sifu like DS_Legacy. I am like never use a disk rom drive unless the need for any setup installation to be made. Nowadays most likely will limit to DotA 2. Yes Illegear is more pricey and I am still deciding between 7559 and Z5. One skylake vs one haswell.
