Form factor is the biggest for me. I do not want a bulky laptop like many 'business laptops' I've seen. My current laptop is 1.2 - 1.4 inches thick and as long as it's not more than that it's good biggrin.gif

budget 2k. 1gb ddr5 gpu sweat.gif if like that, your budget is suitable for desktop. laptop is pretty expensive. even 2.5k for gaming is run on low-med quality display. + you want slim. revise your budget.

Dell 7559? that is best choice you have. slim and light. but no optical disk bay. around 3499 only. good gpu, good display too.

not really. but what i notice is, dell long term usage is longer than hp.

would you mind if i suggest you this
Acer Aspire V Nitro VN7-572G-57N0 15.6" (i5-6200U, 4GB, 1TB HDD, NV GTX950M, W10H)

better specs than hp and dell within that budget range. + this is kinda slim too + have better screen display. nod.gif quite lots of +ve review on this v nitro. It just another alt.

you might want do some research and visit the store and look around to get a picture of your future notebook

if you can top up a bit, can get dell 7559 brows.gif but its 15" slim and does not need optical disk. if you cant stretch, then. its ok. have other alt as suggested by myway

surface 3 have longer battery usage than yoga. and compare to usb port in case you need to plug in thumb drive. yoga have extra slot than surface 3. for online, movies, downloads and office things. i choose yoga 500.
