Is it possible to get the special edition MG Rx78-2 Ver3 Clear locally?

Feel like want to just built something straight out of the box, and still looking cool.. Having too many backlogged kit which I plan to paint, but no time to really start painting end of the day..

below are for your reference from japan shop:

https://order.mandarake.co.jp/order/detailP...595916&ref=list

7000 yen rough shipment would be 2000 yen with bank charges and suck A conversion of 1:28 should cost you around RM330

so if locally charge you more than that include shipping then better off buy from japan straight.

That is so freaking expensive!!! i thought it cost around 4000 yen only++ rclxub.gif

Want to ask opinion on those who have owned gundam from Metal Build Series.

I used to own a Metal Build Freedom. I quite love it... The proportion, weight and tight joints give that really good satisfaction when handling the kit. But in the end I sold it... to fund for other hobby. A little bit miss it to be honest.

The kit isn't perfect though.. First it is expensive. 2nd the paint job on my freedom isn't excellent in my opinion.. I saw people comment the paintjob isnt up to the standard of the earlier metal build 00raiser.

I saw they are coming out with Strike Freedom end of the year, and I am still deciding want to pick one up or not. My concern is... how is the paint job/quality control in the recent Metal build release: exia, destiny, astray? Has the quality improve or getting worse? can anyone who owned any of these give some quick review? This isnt cheap ... so have to really make good consideration before pulling the trigger. somemore with bad RM to USD rate... not sure if it will exceed rm1k... at release.

Freedom is the weakest link in MB line... I believe they tried cheaper supplier and became a disaster..
MB Destiny & MB Astray Gold are superb piece of art.  thumbup.gif
but being finished product, there will still be defectives, but far less frequent than MB Freedom...

Highly recommend you to pre-order one if you really interested as the price gonna soar exponentially like USD to MYR currency... (see MB Destiny)

If MB freedom is the worse of all... then I think is worth buying the Strike freedom.. Problem is everywhere also preorder sold out. And the price is about rm 900-1000... I bought MB freedom for less than rm 600 if I remember correctly.

Just finish metallic nano Gundam.. because plastic gundam is too mainstream... souvenir bought by friend from Japan... this is way more difficult(frustrating) than any plastic kit out there.

I actually broke quite a few important parts! shakehead.gif almost gave up.. end up resolve with Elephant super glue to fix a few broken pegs. But the constuction and precision of this thing is quite amazing.

the puzzle shop chain in kl sells these. they have star wars too, for those so inclined.

KL selling really expensive..a least 200% of the original price.. This Rx78 selling for rm 250 in msia eventhough it is only 2500yen.

I've done bending aluminium sheets during my studies. They are a pain. I was tempted to buy the metallic nano gundam but remembering that it is harder to rectify/fix metal than a plastic kit, stopped me from buying.
Hope it won't rust. laugh.gif

hope it wont rust.. cause right now it shines really nicely ... (with lot of fingerprint)...
