QUOTE(seba @ Aug 13 2015, 07:00 PM) Can I stop windows from updating? It seems there's no option for it, I havent finished updating but I wish to stop for now because I want to use the internet for something else, can somebody clear this up for me? Well, once it started downloading I think there is no option to stop it unless you disconnect the internet. But you can set the windows to check for updates manually by changing the setting in group policy editor (if you are running win 10 pro). Google it.

I see, well now I have a bigger problem, the update stop completely and wont continue Btw mine is fresh install, not an upgrade. the stupid option which not allow user to disable auto download update also very annoying.
in win 7 & 8, user can choose to notify before download.

Guys, you can try disable the windows downloading updates at services..type services at search box, find Windows Update and stop the service there..I already use Windows 10 but my 4mbps streamyx is so slow especially when direct download and steam updates..revert back to windows 8 and the speed back as usual..constant 400++ kbps..i don't know about you guys..maybe different situations when using unifi..
