Enquiries/Recommendations 100% Disk Usage Problem Help :(, 100% Disk Usage

I'm currently using windows 10 with my ASUS A550L... when I open Task Manager, the disk usage column will always be 100%.. i am wondering why?? anyone can help?? I have already disable super fetch previously when i using window 8.1... *this problem occur before upgrading windows 10

they are optimizing i think. usually it occur when it detect u r not using the pc. but if u are using the pc and its still 100%, then i think you just use SSD la. win win. windows can optimize in the background, u can do your work fast.

ssd is getting more affordable yo.

i have this problem with my WD.
disabling superfecth nothing works.
Use SSD instead. can run 4 virtual machine, still not 100 disk usage

most likely same problem with win 8.1.

you just need to open up the service and disable these services

- superfetch
- windows search

you should see a significant hdd usage drop now, if still not working disable also
- BITS (Background Tasks Infrastructure Service)

I have actually disable that... but it still 100% disk usage... i think is like what lowyard said it optimizing when the laptop is not using.. anyways.. thanks for replying

I have run several times of antivirus scan.. so i dont think there is any virus la... anyways thanks for replying

its not quite a hardware problem, more to like hardware limitation and software lack of optimization. SSD should help overcome most of this problem.

trust me its worth it to spend on one even on an old machine. later when you upgrade to new machine, make sure not to throw the old machine away before taking out the SSD. u can still use it for many other purpose. (eg external hard drive, internal hard drive of new machine, etc)
