Taiwan singer David Tao admitted during a media conference in Taipei on Tuesday that he had cheated on his wife Penny Jiang with his ex-girlfriend Ada Yang Zi Qing, Taiwan media reported.

“Things are not that simple, but one thing is certain, I was indeed unfaithful. I am very ashamed of what happened. I made a mistake. Here, I want to deeply apologize to my wife Penny and my father and mother-in-law, my mother, as well as the fans and friends who have supported me so far,” said Tao, before bowing to the gathered reporters. “I won’t run away from this. No matter how it happened or why it happened, I made a mistake.”

Tao said his wife and in-laws have forgiven him for his infidelity after he explained everything to them, even though they were very upset and disappointed by his actions.
