QUOTE(munkeyflo @ Nov 4 2015, 11:48 AM) I would also wanna know what is the swiping requirements needed to fulfill. Like HLB Wise, it's a cash rebate card also, hence already stated no AF waive since day 1. UOB One, the best they could give me was 50% off my AF last year. Mine is Platinum somemore, 50% also more than RM68 They are not afraid to lose your business. UOB One is quite known for not allowing full waiver of their AF for quite some time already. Unless maybe you spend a lot, I have no late payment for any of my cards either and it doesn't help at all. In fact, we don't pay interest to the bank also and they need to give us cash back, hence they lagi not afraid to lose you. True. After many years of AF waivers, no more this year. Did not notice AF and used card after AF charge date. After appealing, got 50% off from RM168. All cash bonus returned back... Now getting prepared to cancel next year. Shall redeem the smart rebates before AF.

QUOTE(fruitie @ Nov 13 2015, 02:59 PM) Well, then it is good for you. Yes, only until 31st Dec. Just that I prefer lesser headache cards for PPL. It's two different cards for different benefits... Love the 5+2% from uob. The AF is simply too painful. Besides, I'm not a heavy petrol user. Is it possible to change from platinum to classic card?

QUOTE(fruitie @ Nov 13 2015, 03:28 PM) Take Maybank Ikhwan for 5% then, no AF. Never thought of Ikhwan. Now tempted. Still available for new applicants? Previously telemarketing called and offered Petronas Ikhwan only.

QUOTE(zstan @ Dec 1 2015, 11:51 AM) to those who are using UOB one card for long term already. is the cash back good enough to cover to annual fees? l any issues with this card so far? thinking to use this along with the maybank 2 card Why earn cashback and pay back to cover AF? The effective rebate % would then be lower, especially with Platinum card AF very high. AF waiver after 1-2 years is uncertain. Unless you don't mind to use 1-2 years then cancel if AF cannot be waived. Just beware of the AF date. You might need to consider your spending categories. One card good for petrol and cinema (GSC).

QUOTE(KY Kiske @ Dec 15 2015, 10:17 AM) Sob~At least give me a chance.. Where did you guys get your first card? My first card was AMEX charge card. Looks cool but not practical as not many places accept Amex or even credit cards at that time.

QUOTE(ckuanglim @ Jan 8 2016, 08:31 AM) Me too. But I will terminate my ONE card, which started using it since 2011. To avoid annual fee... You can try your luck to request for AF waiver.

QUOTE(takatohou @ Jan 13 2016, 02:59 PM) Hi I am a credit card newbie. I just received 2 credit cards (Miles + Lady) from UOB after applying from an agent in shopping mall. Both not yet activated. However, I am more interested in getting the One Platinum card for the petrol CB. My bad for not exploring more options when sign up. Is it possible to change the cards to One card or do I have to undergo the whole signing up process again (cancel and apply for new card again)? Thanks in advance Cancelling now would subject your One card application as new and undergo whole sign up process again as you mentioned. If the cards are with first year annual fee waived, you can hold on to it first and apply One card. Can cancel the Miles & Lady after receiving One card. You can try calling CS and tell them you would like to apply for the One card.
