Syabas Will Not Accept Auto-Billing Payment Via Credit Cards

KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 3 (Bernama) -- Syarikat Bekalan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (SYABAS) will no longer accept payment for water bills by auto-billing via five credit card banking agents from Sept 1.

"The five banking agents are CIMB Bank Berhad, UOB Bank, Citibank, Maybank Berhad and RHB Bank Berhad," SYABAS Corporate Affairs Division executive director Priscilla Alfred said in a statement here today.

However, she said the consumers concerned could still pay the water bills by cash or cheques via various channels.

They include SYABAS' One Stop Counter Service Centres (OSCS) for the districts of Petaling, Kuala Lumpur, Gombak, Klang, Hulu Langat, Hulu Selangor, Kuala Langat, Kuala Selangor, Sabak Bernam and Sepang.

Operating hours for the OSCS are from 9am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday.

In addition, Priscilla said, payments may also be made to official collection agencies such as HSBC Bank Malaysia Berhad, Public Bank Berhad, Bank Kerjasama Rakyat Malaysia Berhad, Bank Islam Malaysia Berhad, Dewan Bandaraya Kuala Lumpur, POS Malaysia Berhad, Mobile Money and Paylink Global.

Priscilla advised consumers to pay their bills on time to avoid cutting of water supply.

Just to point out that the petrol rebate is based NOT based your total spending, instead it is based on the capped rebate. For example, if max rebate is RM25, you may spend all RM500 on weekend or all RM1250 on weekday. I lost a little rebate because I stopped spending after reaching the spend limit.
*
No, that's not how it works, It is capped based on total spending, not rebate. . There are some discussions and examples on this, refer to page 119 of V3.

https://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopi...post&p=75572806

From the T&C (1c), there is no mention of rebate cap, only spending cap is mentioned.

c. For the rebate category of petrol, the maximum Cash Rebate awarded for purchases made by the principal and supplementary Cardmembers shall be capped at RM500 for UOB ONE Platinum Card and RM300 for UOB ONE Classic Card per month.

Lol..no offense, but I just said that I lost some rebate due to this. I spent RM306 in July (RM291 in weekends, RM15 in weekdays), rebate is RM14.85. I still have RM0.15 rebate left to collect. The orange colour is for weekend transactions.

Anyway victorywp I just realized that the reload I did back in BHP Taiping Simpang, they did not charge me RM1 service charge, reloaded RM99.47 with RM100 swiped to card. thumbup.gif And no I didn't pay the RM1 by cash either.

"U stopped spending after reaching the spend limit."
i don't see any loss? u still get your 5% from your spending.
You will only loss if you spend more than limit.

Didn't I shared this experience in the previous thread version when I first applied for UOB ONE? Also pending for utilities bill for mailing address verification and no call CS till I called CS myself. I decided to abort the application and waited few months to reapply! laugh.gif

The current UOB ONE I have is from my 2nd application.

Which is why I am not too bothered about this card at all.

I applied 2 times, both times application went AWOL.

Same goes with my gf.

I think if this time the agent don't want to follow up properly, I also don't bother already laugh.gif

I just want the CB for petrol but since I am actually having an Ikhwan already, not really bothered + no constraints on where to pump at all.

Finally got news from UOB.

Apparently, they think I am holding too much cards and unwilling to approve despite me cancelling off few of the lesser used cards d.

They said it's not reflected in database that I cancelled some of my cards already despite having termination letters from the bank laugh.gif

Ah well. Guess CIMB is indeed hinting me to stay on laugh.gif
