Once I faxed, I called the CS to confirm with them if they do receive my fax.
*
I suspect she never fax it at all

Background story, when I informed that I want to set the SMS limit, she asked for my IC to be photocopied which I refused to do so. So she seemed annoyed and just handed the form to me to fill in and said, don't blame her if my request is not approved because no IC copy.

So after I filled the form and pass to her to fax, she went inside a room and then later said faxed dy. When I eventually did not receive any SMS, I emailed to BNM describing the event. I asked why need to give IC. I also add why need to go to branch for this (CS told me to do so).

HQ called to apologize and said actually no need go to branch and no IC is needed. Later the bank staff also contacted me to apologize. Nowadays when she sees me in the bank, avoid eye contact dy.

just call UOB.. need to activate oversea usage.. if not we unable to swipe the credit card.. then i ask why.. they told me security purpose.. in the end.. they activate my oversea usage for period of time only.. Eg.. 1 sept until 10 sept 2015 to which country..  after 10 sept you not able to use/swipe from that country..

QUOTE(fruitie @ Aug 25 2015, 03:40 PM)
This is standard for all banks. They will ask you to confirm the country and also period. smile.gif
*
QUOTE(karcity @ Aug 25 2015, 07:39 PM)
Yes.that is standard for most cc. You are a new cc holder?
*
I would not say it is standard for all banks for the 'need to call to activate'. For most of the banks that I have experience with, it is merely a notification. To activate meaning, if we do not call in the card cannot be used at all. There is a different between these two. Having said this, I do advice people to give a call to notify the banks.

Standard as in requesting for country and duration. Not standard to call to activate. You have misunderstood me.
*
Good then, i was 50-50 wondering which one too but being a pessimist, i guessed the-standard-to-activate icon_rolleyes.gif

Anyone knows if there's any in call recording free app?  Wondering if it's easier just to send email complaint and attach the audio recording as evidence.
*
not necessary. just jot down the time and date of call and name of the staff. the bank would have the recording.

Warning: Do not get Lady's card for more than a year, you will be charged on annual fees of RM 68 + 6% GST. (you could only waive with the damn it 50,000 points)  vmad.gif
*
To be fair, it is clearly stated that the card has an annual fee. To waive or not is their prerogative.

yeah, but i guess everyone should file complaint, so that they know a lot ppls are noticed and unhappy about it.
Or else, i guess they will take it slow.

Few years back, I have a dispute case with them. They dragged for about half year, and send me letter(ask me to pay) + statement every month after I cancelled my UOB One card. Until one day i send a complaint to BNM, within 2 weeks, the case settled.
*
that is why you guys need to highlight this to BNM..it will make magic biggrin.gif

Is VOX card the best card around for online transactions at the moment?
*
QUOTE(fruitie @ Oct 9 2015, 06:36 PM)
Its closest competitor is CIMB Cash Rebate, and I have listed the above for your information.
Of course there is pros and cons. smile.gif
*
the best card for online transaction is still PBB VS. 6% and no min spend requirement.

*For online spend of up to RM1,000 per month, so it is capped at RM50.

Hi guys got a question here,

So i got UOB One Card and UOB plat together,
when i interbank transfer to the plat card, i check my cc statement and saw that the transfer went into the One Card acc.

And yes i double checked the cc numbers from the receipts and im very sure i did the transfer to the plat card.

Is this some sort of error? or do they share an account?? sifus pls advise
*
