preve's original camber setting memang is negative setting, the rear tyre memang will makan dalam...

even u do balancing & alignment also wont help..the tyre shop guy tried to adjust my camber to neutral before, but fail to do so, adjust to the max still slightly negative, you can see it from the alignment computer.

You can try to replace the part at the Proton service centre by free claim within the 5-year warranty period. I had mine recently replaced the silver plastic piece of the gear knob at COSE for free. Not sure on what grounds but told the service adviser that the piece had fallen off from the gear knob for the 3rd time already which shows a poor quality fitting (poor design). They replaced the silver piece without any charge. The part is PW925044-D0050 (Top Garnish Knob ML/HL).

The cost is of the top garnish knob is only RM14.16 inclusive of GST which is quite cheap. Not sure why the replaced it though as the original plastic piece is still in good condition without any cracks. It just came off from the knob and required some glue to fix it back to the knob. Not sure if there are some clips on the top garnish plastic piece, and if yes whether they had broken thus needing a new replacement piece.

Should have just got aftermarket knob lol

Motor journalist Yamin Vong claims that Proton is planning on launching a 2nd gen Preve next year which may be based on the Geely Emgrand GL. A B-segment SUV is also coming in 2019 as well.

I really hope that the Preve replacement project is true. We'll see in the coming months. Would be nice if the exterior is totally different from the donor car.

i wanna ask, if early morning start the car, will like hard to crank after press push to start, then will stall and the car will start again, is it throttle body dirty already?

2 years is a long time. I do think it's normal for difficulty to start a car with 2 years old battery. Mine can last 2 years and 8 months.

Should be the expansion/contraction of the pipe where the coolant pass by... but so far i never heard such sound in my car.

but since you mentioned that the aircond being serviced before the problem occurs.. then most likely the problem is come from the process.

Just hope that the aircon is not serviced by some new bird technician.

Looks like you travel more than me. My car will be 5 years old in 2 months time. Mileage is about 82,000 km if I'm not mistaken. Yes, most of the time I don't do hard braking as I tend to always leave a rather wide space in front of me so that the car will glide by itself especially during low speed cruising in moderate to heavy traffic. In that way I don't need to step on the brakes so frequently, and if I need to step on the brakes it will just be a light tap when the car is near to the vehicle in front. For this reason, sometimes some impatient tailgaters will get furious when they see cars from the left lane cutting into the front of my vehicle (I'm always on the front/right lane most of the time). Not too sure why some motorists have the habit of driving so close to other vehicles in front since the traffic is all slow moving and you can't drive fast anyway even if they overtake one or two vehicles in the line.

My other car the Ford Focus has seen more light use. Just around 52,000+ km, also reaching 5 years in 3 more months.

Thanks, will write an email to PROTONCARE to check with them.  I've adhered strictly to the 6 monthly service interval since I'm using fully synthetic oil.  Every time when I asked about the OCH replacement, they always said my mileage is not due yet.

This month, maintenance for my car was higher since I needed to repair some of the spoilt parts not covered under warranty. Just lately, spent RM231 on replacing the OCH(reported to be be near brittle) and rocker cover gasket which was the cause of oil leak. After 2 months, the air-cond suddenly isn't cold so brought the car to the service centre to troubleshoot. Apparerently the fuse in the UEC box was leaking and the whole UEC box needs to be replaced. Cost of the replacement was RM529.

This month, spent RM700+ on replacing faulty parts alone. Hopefully no more surprises as my next 100,000 km service will likely cost around RM1,500 if not more as the timing belt will need to be replaced. Certainly not too cheap to maintain this Preve Turbo.

Was told that the replacement of air-cond sponge which deteriorated or became dust is covered under the 5-year warranty. Will get this sponge (which is the air-cond filter I think) replaced just before 5-year during my next 100,000 km service. This one, I think, is free.
