QUOTE(gurrenlagann @ Nov 26 2015, 03:39 PM) QUOTE(zgerm @ Nov 27 2015, 09:08 AM) Surely looks like sponges from the air-cond vents. This reminds me of the small bits and pieces of sponges I spotted earlier this year in my car. In my case, the yellow bits of sponges are not on the air-cond vents, but they are below the driver's seat. At first, I am not sure where the sponges come from. I suspected they come from the fabric seats, guessing that the fabric seat may have a tear somewhere and the sponges are leaking out. There are A LOT of sponges, all in tiny bits and pieces below the driver's seat. But now when I come to think of it, the sponges may have came out from the air-cond vents. If not from the top vents, maybe from the lower vents located at the feet. |

QUOTE(gurrenlagann @ Nov 26 2015, 03:39 PM) Have to remove the whole air-con vent's panel. There are 2 screws in front (at above) the speedometer which will need to be removed first before "prying" out the whole panel.Alternatively, why don't just use a pair of pincers to carefully "grab" those sponges out? It'll be a lot easier this way. This post has been edited by winners8: Nov 27 2015, 09:50 AM |

Question
1) Is the security tint on CFE good enough? I'm receiving my CFE next week, if it is not a good one, i'm going to change it to a better one. 2) Does anyone know the contact person for PREVEC and PREVOC registration? |

Question:
Under normal circumstances, when we arm/lock any car while any door is ajar, there would be a reminder like the horn blaring to bring our attention to the said matter. The same applies to Preve EXCEPT if the ajar door happens to be any of the 2 front ones. The SC said that's the way it is for Preve. Is that true? Other Preve owners' feedback is very much appreciated. Its failure to send out such reminder is not that helpful as sometimes, we may be at quite a distance from our car when we want to be sure that we've locked it. |

QUOTE(:3mushy:3 @ Nov 27 2015, 02:57 PM) That is if you only set the driver door to be unlocked (press unlock twice to unlock the rest of the doors). No. No change in setting has been made, ie all doors are to open or lock at the same time. It's just that when any of the 2 front doors is ajar, the car would not lock/arm and would not give out any alert on the matter either. |

Then try other SC center.Guys, would the silicone cover for they key fob interfere with the insertion (and out) to start the engine? This post has been edited by :3mushy:3: Nov 27 2015, 06:11 PM |

I will always ensure that the side mirrors are automatically folded to confirm the locking and arming of the vehicle. |

Yes, me too I always look for the folded side mirrors after a trip. Or by looking at the red led light at the top of the dashboard when side mirrors are already folded. |

QUOTE(winners8 @ Nov 28 2015, 08:25 AM) Mine is also same like this. I will always ensure that the side mirrors are automatically folded to confirm the locking and arming of the vehicle. Nope. Like what zgerm has mentioned, when we press "lock/arm" on the remote, the car would "lock" but only to "unlock" itself immediately thereafter when any of the 2 front doors is ajar. Although the car could not be locked/armed under such circumstances, the auto side view mirrors would still fold themselves nicely at the first instance when we press "lock/arm". So, that's neither an indication nor assurance that the car is locked. To be really sure, I'd either observe the blinking red led alarm light behind the windscreen (as mentioned by imthebat) or just pull the car handles (the primitive way). So, when we're at a distance away from the car, there's no other way to be sure that it's locked other than to walk back to the car. This post has been edited by ChokenBako: Nov 28 2015, 02:04 PM |

Does anyone here experience an audible "wooo" sound when cruising at around 50 km/h? When accelerating the car with the speed around 50 to 60 km/h, try lifting your foot from the accelerator and let the car glide from 60 km/h to 50 km/h on its own. When the car slows down and the speed reached 52 km/h, an audible "wooo" sound from the car is heard.
Seems like this "woooo" sound is getting louder by the months. Mileage of the car is close to 40,000km now. |
