Flood alone costs RM265?

What does it cover actually? If I travel balik kampung, then my kampung got flood, car tenggelam habis, will insurance cover everything?
*
It include flood, storm and earthquake. Any damages will be covered. It is expensive, but for peace of mind.

Years ago when it was not in demand, the coverage was very limited to gearbox and brake only.

What? Penang and leisure drive do not mix together.
*
There are 2 scenarios if referring to the driving conditions in Penang.

1. The driving habits of the drivers. It is either the drivers drive leisurely or enthusiastically in a hurried manner
2. The traffic and road conditions within the Penang island and the nearby towns around the peninsular are mostly city drives which only promote leisure drives.

I am not sure you are referring to which one but I am referring to the latter.

No you didn't take them, some are not required. If you drive alone most of the time, LLP and LLAN are not really required (basically they dismiss your legal liability should something happen to passengers). SRCC (strike, riot and civil commotion, I believe) is arguably not applicable to relatively peaceful Malaysia.

Flood, this is up to you. If you live or always travel to flood-prone area, it's best to discuss this with the insurance provider to know what is exactly covered.

Windscreen is 'compulsory' though, and Preve windshield and windows are not cheap. RM 1k should be enough (payable premium is RM 150) to cover both front and rear windscreen (RM500+ and RM300+ respectively). Usually people insure higher than the cost of the windscreen itself to cover the cost of installing new tinting film as well.

You can always purchase these extra benefits.
*
Insurance for windscreen is not compulsory as it is an option. It may be compulsory for you but not for everyone. I did not take any windscreen insurance for my car for 2 years now.

Of course. Don't sign the paper until you're satisfied.

Side windows. Security tint should not be installed on front and rear windscreens.

I think he meant the security film. Front and rear only have the normal window tint installed.

Hi everyone,

I'm currently seriously considering Preve as my next car.
The end year rebate is very attractive (or should I wait for early next year penghabisan stok 2015 promo? hehe..)

However, I really hope everyone here can help me.
Please, please, please take a picture of your current average fuel consumption on the Smart Info Display.
I really want to know exectly what are the average fuel consumption really like since some blog posted that their average FC is about 6L/100Km but on fuelly the majority of the entry are about 10L/100Km.

Please do help me guys.

TQ

Even with the pictures, they are not telling the actual story. All depends on traffic conditions, their travel roads, patterns, light or heavy footed, driving style and more variables. 10l/100km sounds about right for city driving. 6l/100km can be achieved with mostly highways driving.

Thanks for the reply Mushy. Yes, I agree with you. There are so many variables that contributes to it.
What is your Preve FC currently? Do you drive in city most of the time?

Besides that, I also read somewhere that by replacing some parts such as air filter will contribute to a better FC?

Mine is 8.5l/100km on average, 60% city, 30% highway, 10% others.

Preve FC gets better over time, noticeably after 2nd service.
