Yes, that is the one. There is a latch on the other side. spray oil on the inside and use a small rod / screw driver to move it side way, so that it is easier for it to move.

I got this issue occasionally too. At first I thought the door switch is the culprit. Did self test and indeed the front passenger door switch was faulty. Replaced it. Works fine for a few weeks until it started again.
Bought OBD reader and scan using Car Scanner app. Got result about immobilizer not detected or something. Check with SC they too suspect the key fob is faulty.
They ask me to use my spare key fob instead to properly confirm their suspicion.

I've noticed my Proton Preve 2015  engine roar is worryingly loud when going downhill.The only way to reduce the engine noise is to manually upshift to higher gear or step on the accelerator. It is not  comfortable to drive due to the loud noise and also dangerous as have to use accelerator and then brake quickly just before a sharp bend especially when going down Genting Highlands.

Is this normal?

I checked with SC and ask if anything to do with CVT i.e. wrong gear selection or update firmware but was told it is normal.

The issue i'm having currently is actually the door locking issue whereby first press, the door lock and second press, mirror fold and alarm arming which being mentioned by fix24311 below.
Sometimes can get the door locking and mirror folding at the same time (which is how it should be) but recently not like that.

Tq for clarifying btw. Might come in handy when my car is having that issue.

i think my preve gearbox already have funny behaviors'. In the morning, cold start. start the drive, feel like over rave. it is very hard to drive in traffic jam. the rpm also not really normal. already done service and clutch adaptation. still feel the same. now speeding in highway 140km/h at 3300 ~ 3500rpm.

Fixed the problem myself after consulting Dr. Youtube.

Not 100% identical lock but same principle.

There is one moving part that will engage the lock when the lid is pressed down. This part needs some greasing for it to move freely.

Replacing it with a new one is not just a waste of money but also a waste of resources (metal, plastic, etc) while a simple fix can do the job.

Yeah. I greased back the latch too. Seems to be working.

*** Good. The latch may get sticky again years later. But now you know how to fix that. Problem is when your family member is using the car, going shopping etc, and that happens. Then phone call to you. Ha.

They should design out this problem as others have experienced this too. However, My 12 years old Proton Wira did not have this problem. So depends on luck and usage?

I still think it's the keyfob. I haven't tried the spare fob yet.
Have you try holding down the lock/unlock button simultaneously until the fob light blip? any changes?

Preve 2014 ebu carsome berapa? Banyak calar2  and can kinda pudar

guys, my preve when put in reverse then when move, the whole car vibrate very bad, possible gearbox or clutch problem? or can it be driveshaft? i see driveshaft the cover there macam got some grease leaking out.. send to mechanic service and repair, they say the car is okay lol.

also is it possible due to need to redo clutch adaption?

Mounting just change 1-2years back , should be fullset.. cannot be so fast got problem eh. Tomorrow i go another workshop ask 2nd opinion
