Only 85k km but is 10years already lol. I felt like when move steering can hear some sound. Like tat need ask the workshop check when back in my hometown. I ask them check suspension they say no problem.. driveshaft is the one connect with steering rack?

Hi, my 2015 preve having tik tik tik sound from gearbox even during idle. Proton sc diagnosed but no error from the computer. I'm in puchong. Any suggestion pls?

- Do you use 0w-30/5w-30 OR 10w-40/0w-40 on your Preve?

Cause my dad went and buy 10w-40 for his Preve (non-turbo) , but I checked his previous Proton receipts , apparently the SC has been using 0w-30 last time . Zzz. Which is the correct EO grade?

I told him not to change oil yet, I plan to check his preve manual next time i go over . But thought to quickly ask you guys' advice first. Thanks!

Either one is fine. Just make sure it's not fake oil.

i use 5W30 or 10W30 for past 6 years of ownership

i use 5w30 full syn as well. no problem.

Manual or CVT? If manual maybe clutch pump almost gone.

Auto. Reverse gear broken it seems. Just overhauled the gearbox few days ago

need some help from sifu here.
I found out my 10 years preve have 1 serious issue. this happened the 3rd time now in a year whereby the gear indicator lamp light on in the middle of driving! i found this is very serious issue which may cause accident anytime. anyone know if this is related to software issue or hardware (gearbox) issue?

I just stopped in the middle of the road with double signal, switch off and switch on my car and the car back to normal as it is.

maybe can try visit shop that got obd2 to see the error code. can tell more detail what is wrong with your gearbox

my preve 1.6 CFE (2014) haven't been driven for almost 2 week plus or so

recently bawa keluar jalan2...but somehow when trying to reverse, got hear a grinding sound..

i already stop the car before engaging into R and hear the grind and can't revise properly... after engaging D again and slowly go back to R, baru dia okay as in no more grinding

is it normal phenomena?

diagnostic tool. That socket at the bottom of your steering rack. They have a tool to plug in and check error code. Some ppl even buy their own bluetooth obd2 scanner. But I think for regular ppl like us better just go and check at shop. But remember you need to do this asap. Coz if i recall correctly some ppl here share that those error code will clear after 20 times u press the start stop button..

Try to reverse your car on bukit. If susah, gearbox problem. Mine started the same way. Reverse gear broken
