most ppl's preve also like that, if you follow preve's fb since 2012, they have been talking bout it long time back, they even got the default camber setting diagram. memang is negative setting..

The replacement of timing belt on the Preve Turbo is at 100,000 km mileage? Just sent my car for service last week and was asked whether I wanted to change the timing belt on the car since the mileage is already 81,000 km. The service adviser mentioned that the timing belt is recommended to be replaced at about 100,000 km so I told her that I'll replace it during the next service, where the mileage should be close to 9,000 km. Was told that the cost of replacement of the timing belt + regular service would cost around RM1,500 to 1,600. Looks like the major service can hit quite a high figure. The costliest service which I previously paid for is RM1,400+ for the 60,000 km service.

I"m not so sure about that as based on the service adviser at COSE, the cost of the service plus replacement of timing belt, the cost about RM1,500+. If plus other stuff such as auxiliary belt or water pump it may be higher than RM1,500.

yes the clip and it's design is so stupid. the garnish has two puny clip to clip onto the lever. The clip is not strengthen like normal clip where it is thicker, but this clip is just like a thin J type, stupid i can say.

My experience with the "Low Battery" warning message on the display of the Preve Turbo is it's not too reliable. I've seen this message popping up on the display of my car too sometime last year when I switched the engine on. Perhaps middle or late last year in 2017. Today I'm still on the battery. Personally I would wait for the battery to go completely kaput, then you might want to call Century hotline as they can deliver the battery and fix it to you on the spot. The prices are also quite reasonable and you have piece of mind knowing that you won't get cheated for paying higher for another brand of battery when you go to the workshop to change. There was once when the battery for my car was completely knocked out and I jumped-start the car using my colleague's jumper cables before driving to a tyre/battery shop to have the battery replaced. It was some random tyre shop and i wasn't too concerned on the brand of battery as to me, anything would be fine as long as I can start my car and drive it. Though when I came to know about the price of the battery >RM300, I was a bit shocked though as in my mind the battery is usually below RM300 for the Proton. I think you may get a good suitable battery from the likes of Century for the Preve at RM200+.

For my "higher-rated" battery for the Ford, I did my homework to avoid paying "extra". Replaced it at slightly above RM300 only which is very cheap when compared to normal price range which is RM400+ for a similar type of battery.

My preve does not have acceleration power like it used to be. when i hit the gas pedal, it feels stagnant. Mine is CVT turbo. anything should i service or check ? fyi... imo i can rule-out spark plug cuz i just replace them about 6 months ago.

Thanks for the advice, I am not sure how does the rear brake light should be behave when driving.. But It caught my eyes when driving at night that I noticed the red light is very visible on the rear speaker cover.

Hi preve owners ... SC found out that the rad fan motor may be fail (the fan sometimes works), SC told if need to replaced, have to replace motor and housing too ... cost rm600. 1. Is it possible to replace motor only as I was told it can be done outside workshop?
2. Can anyone show/explain how to remove the rad fan assy? ...It so tight!

hi all im anew owner of the 2014 preve exec... the mileage when i bought the car is 35k km... i checked with the service center..the car didnt change cvt  oil yet..so on 7th april i took the car to the sc in alor setar to change the oil .they said they will change the oil bleed and do the clucth adaptation...ok..

then on 8th im outstation for a week..my wife was using the car during that time.but only on tuesday 17th april i found some spots on the porch floor.. i called sc and they asked me to bring the car the next day..

on the 18th at sc they checked cleaned everything and didnt see any dripping from the gearbox.. they also waited a half an hour and drove it around and checked again there was no dripping.. ok then they said to continue obserrvation..

then today 19th april there is a drop of oil...what shud i doo......

note. the is no continuos drop if we already parked the car...i think the oil drop only happen during engine running and after car usage.

Sent my car to the service centre after detecting oil leak stains on the floor of the car porch. At the service centre, it was found that the rocker cover gasket was the cause of the oil leak. Replaced the part which costs RM80+.

Thought this was the only part that needs to be replaced but was told that the oil cooler hose also needs replacement. There was a recall for this oil cooler hose previously whereby it was replaced at about 40,000 km mileage. My car is now 80,000+ km mileage and the oil cooler hose was said to be "hard" and almost brittle state, so it needed to be replaced for safety purposes or else all the oil will leak out where the hose burst. No choice since this is for safety, so the hose was replaced. Cost of replacement is about RM140+.

So, it appears that the life span of the oil cooler hose is about 40,000 km only, and the cost of the part is RM140. Just for everyone's information.

Apart from the replacements above, did the ECU reflashing (recall), and OCH replacement, not sure what is this OCH though. Brake pads were checked and found to be still in good condition, so they were not replaced. The brake pads are still original pads and they have lasted more than 80,000 km now.

Been see before fan broken due to aging plastic , just change the fan.

Actually, you should stop driving and call for towing if the temperature is already near to the maximum.  At the worse case scenario, piston seizure may occur and it'll cost a bomb to repair a seized engine. 

Just replacing the radiator fan alone will cost over RM800?

please check if fan motor running when you switch ON aircond?
If not running, that mean your socket harness fan motor melted.
If fan running, please check relay K1 & K2 got problem.

maybe Proton was replace your 1st OCH before release to customer.
scan tool can simulate fan motor running without engine running. So, easier to troubleshooting..

Mind sharing how much is the fan replacement.
