So I went service center to carry out usual interval service, with additional complain made about the aircond not cold, although got air blow out.

After service done, I saw the bill with two things getting replaced free of charge:
1. PW951035 - UEC Box
2. 54356510 - Satellite Fuse Box Hardness

I also noticed they done something with my car fuse box while I was waiting. I recall there is a thread about aircond compressor not running because of a module inside fuse box turns out to be faulty.

If it is so, then gladly Proton replaced the fuse box for me.

I would like to install dashcam on my Preve and the dashcam power will be the hardwiring type, which will be coming from the fuse box.

Since the Preve fuse box is in engine bay, therefore I would have to route the hardwiring cable from interior cabin to engine bay through the firewall?

The one that you can tape power from, its the fuse box under the steering.. might be need to remove the cover under the steering to do the wiring work on power tapping.

Thanks for the pointer, found it behind the storage box under the Start/Stop button.

great..thanks for the information, i also need to tap the power from the cigarette socket fuse for future dashcam installation.

Do you know on how to dismantle the A-pillar cover so that I can route the dashcam wires from windscreen to the fuse box under the steering?
The A-pillar cover has airbag inside, is it alright to dismantle on my own?

Just changed my Preve car battery (55D23L) (PW857666).

Previous battery lasted me around 3 years.

Battery alone cost RM 310.20 including GST.
Labour charge cost RM 19.08.

That is Original from Proton or other brand?
*
Sorry didn't mention earlier.
I went to Proton Edar service center to get it replaced, so the battery is original from Proton, the Ramcar battery.

Anyone know which OBD II works for Preve Turbo?
Or what protocol does Preve turbo use?

With Proton announced N95 grade cabin filtered for all existing Proton models, sadly our beloved Proton Preve is left out.

https://www.proton.com/en/promotions/n95-cabin-filter

Existing Proton Preve only has a plastic net as cabin filter, not even a paper type cabin filter, so all the while Preve driver are breathing in unfiltered air.

Here is a photo of a used 3M aircond PM2.5 filter sheet that I taped on top of my Preve cabin filter plastic mat that covered around 80% of the surface.

Last two weeks I made a search on the compatible Preve cabin filter.

I came across this website that allow you to search for cabin filter based on filter dimension.

https://catalog.mann-filter.cn/CN/chi/dimensions

Unfortunately the website is in Chinese, but you can browse it using Chrome and do a website translation to English.

I did a search on the website using the cabin filter dimension that I measured long time ago, and the Proton Preve cabin filter dimension is around 178mm x 200mm x 18mm

With a plus minus 2mm tolerance, I am able to obtain a result.

A deeper dive into the result shows the cabin filter is for Nissan D50/R50/R50X in China market.

After that I did a search on Taobao, and found this seller that sells PM2.5 cabin filter for Nissan D50/R50/R50X.

https://item.taobao.com/item.htm?id=582812035769

One unit of the cabin filter is about RM15 after conversion from RMB, excluding international shipping, which is cheap for me.

I also chat with the Taobao seller and confirmed that this cabin filter is indeed the size within the tolerance.

The seller told me that their filter dimension is around 180mm x 200mm x 20mm.

Therefore I pulled the trigger and purchased 4 unit of the cabin filter.

One week passed and I received the cabin filter, and surprisingly it fits really well into the Preve cabin filter container.

The cabin filter dimension from the Taobao seller is around 198mm x 179mm x 20mm according to my own measurement.

Not only it fits well, despite the 2mm differences in all the dimension, the cabin filter is also able to slot into the blower firmly.

Next is to test if the PM2.5 filter really works, I have a PM2.5 sensor with me so I gave it a try.
Before aircond turned on, the PM2.5 reading on the sensor is around 20 plus minus.
After aircond turned on, the PM2.5 gradually reduced to around 0 and 1.

With this, I can see that this cabin filter is able to to filter out PM2.5 particulate as advertised.

Luckily I bought 4 of them, hopefully my stock can last me 1 to 2 years.

Does Preve comes with their own cabin filter?
Or additional purchase is required?

Interesting finding... are you the shopee seller who sold N95 cabin filter for Preve? Because I bought one from shopee and it looks exactly like this, minus the chinese words  hmm.gif
*
I am not.

If I am the seller, why would I shoot my own feet by telling forumer the way to get the filter somewhere else with cheaper price?

My signal stick now won't back to normal position after I straighten my steering. Is this something that I can fix myself or I have to rectify this in SC?

if signal can switch off once you flip the stick back, it's plastic broken inside steering wheel/signal stick.
either open up steering and glue or SC....

if signal cannot switch off regardless of stick position, then gg electrical problem laugh.gif
*
Signal still can switch off, after flip back to original position, just that need to manual switch back to original position.
Looks like it is better to leave it to SC, steering got airbag, don't dare to DIY biggrin.gif

Can use this kind of fuse tap accessory on existing fuse slot, such as power socket (ACC) or radio (BATT)
