hi all. newbie here. i'm about to buy my first car. have lots of questions in mind:

1. how do you justify paying 10 K extra for the premium variant?
2. am I missing out on a lot of things by choosing exec?
3. does the exec variant got all the sound issues like what you all said from the first page? need input from exec owners.
4. is the push start malfunction a common issue to premium variant?
5. is it true that exec variant will waste petrol in the long run since exec variant have persona engine and heavier body than persona? or is this just a BS that salesman utter so that we would buy the premium?

I just confirmed back with the seller that I want to stick with my original choice which is CFE. was having doubts today after reading reviews from the Internet. after thinking for hours I decided to choose CFE because of all the safety features.
anyway what about the fuel consumption of your preve? CFE right?

my logic was: why pay more for things that I won't use regularly.
somemore, can save on maintenance cost as well since the parts for non CFE kind of cheaper. let's not forget that there are more electronic thingies in CFE that can become faulty.

There are slightly higher maintenance. Stock spark plug is iridium for CFE, normal copper for IAFM.

Although one can use Mach 5 mineral oil for CFE too, but to safeguard against turbo coking, full synthetics are recommended.

Did any of the owner can feel the whining sound which is there all the time especially when going downhill without pressing throttle and brake?

Are they normal? Just to make sure the test unit i driven not faulty.

Gonna visit proton showroom this weekend for preve 1.6 cvt .Kinda worry if i made big mistake as this is my first time buying car.. gulp

Hi, i just want to ask, is it preve exec manual worth buying ? This are my first car. I want to get inspira second hand but got rejected by my family. must get a new car. So can i get some answers ? already read thru the forum but not so puas hati.

Limitation only the money.budget around 60k below.i prefer manual because my brother had saga but many problem in cvt. want to modification in piping and more sporty.

The SA quoted me RM450. And I thought I should go with him to avoid warranty issues.
You think it would be safe (Warranty wise) to get it outside?
I don't mind going outside to get it done cheaper. Need to find somewhere in PJ to do it.

Well, to be safe then, might as well ask the SA to install it. Since the showroom also has a service centre, will go back to them for service and such.

The reverse camera will be auto right? As in when I engage reverse, then it will automatically show the camera. Would suck if it is the kind where you need to switch it on the player to see whats behind.

yo guise, wanna ask. my preve righthand frontlamp blew once in two month, is it normal?

now both my front lamp gone..had to rely on foglight during low light driving before change bulb.

since both my frontlamp gone..any suggestion on bulb that can last long? was thinking for led lamp ... or go for hid ? (this is the name right?)

guys,
recently whenever i turn my wheel to the left/right, i can hear a squeaky and rumbling sound from the front wheel.
before alignment, the sound came from the right side
after i did my alignment, the worker switch my right tyre with the left tyre,
now the sound came from the left side.
hahaha
so, what is the problem actually?
anyone encountered before..quite annoying sometime whenever i do a turning,

Hi every1! Im newbie, just got my preve last raya promotion, mine is 1.6 cvt (at) iafm+, but got a prob, why everytime when it run downhill at 40-50kmph, the engine starts to roar? I had to brake until 15-20kmph to make it stop? Is this normal? Did I or the R&D guys at Proton miss something?
