Wanna ask you guys whether SP3 used second hand 256gb selling at rm3k sharp worth or not? Still has three months warranty. Only the kickstand abit loose. Condition seem to be tip top.

Chat with Microsoft Support and explain your dilemma.
Or bring it overseas to Microsoft store.

Usually they don't do repair but to swap to you a new or refurbished unit. Like the SP2 last time if ran out of stock, they will issue the SP3 instead. So who knows if they ran out of SP3 stock they have to issue you a SP4.

Surface Pro Type Cover 4 with fingerprint ID is coming to Malaysia. Time to upgrade for my SP3.

This my personal experience with garage con man:
Saturday Arrived Imbi, that jason guy told me i must deliver to Jalan Ipoh with agree prices.

As far as I know the SP3 screen repair is hard and almost impossible for a regular repairer to do so.

Considering SP3 does not have Windows Hello using face detection, this seems like a pretty secure and fast way to login to the SP3. I saw the price is around RM658.

Sorry to hear about that. Well, I have met fixer like him before that promise to fix my iPhone home button, I paid RM80 for the home button fix. After the fix, my iPhone LCD has blurry faulty lines (it was never there before) and brought back to the shop, and suddenly it's my fault. I don't know where to complain so I just let it go. Apple don't want to entertain as the phone has been "tampered" with third party.

Well lesson learn, I never bring expensive gadgets for third party repair anywhere, spend the money to repair at the original manufacturer or do the repair yourself.

Based on past forumer experience sending to third party repair, I would say contact Microsoft and pay that fee to them is the safest choice.

Today my replacement Surface Pro 3 came, and when I opened it, the first thing I noticed is how many minor scuff on the screen under the light. Even long long scuff also got but only observed under light. I'm quite disappointed because before that my original SP3 has a screen protector and this one is like this.

I sent it back to them and it is currently now with Microsoft "under investigation", it sort of sucks that I have to go through this.
I was wondering how are other people replacement unit like, is there obvious cosmetic defects like these scuff or are your units almost brand new?

If there is a feature I'd like them to add for the next SP5, it'll be a USB-C port which can be used for charging as well. It'll be nice to use normal powerbanks to charge otg.
And a magnetic rechargeable pen instead for convenience sake (though indication from news is pointing that this feature will be added in SP5)

Windows 10 as an OS has been improving, though I still prefer OSX for its simplicity and stability.
Especially a time when 150+ GB mysteriously got used up. That was a really fked up Win 10 system.

I'm wondering whether you get scuffs on your refurbished units. My first SP3 replacement came with many scuffs on the screen which I sent pictures and Support agreed to exchange.
Comes the super long wait of weeks which I suspect they are running low of inventory on SP3. I ask Support what's taking so long when all of a sudden they told me they shipped my next replacement. But then it wasn't really shipped as it was not collected until the following week Tuesday.
I received the second replacement which still has scuff on the screen but lesser amount. First boot and it hangs. I'm quite infuriated that the screen now is yellower/warmer than my laptop/original SP3. Battery is also worst.
I have brought the matter to Microsoft Support (again) and now they are escalating the matter which will take many business days just for a reply.
