guys i would like to know.... surface 3 128gb after Windows 10 left how much space?

Where is the cheapest place to get the Surface 3? Any ongoing promos now? Saw at Harvey Norman MV yesterday - PWP type cover for RM379 and extend warranty for RM99.

Thinking of upgrading from my HP Stream 7

Thanks for the detailed explanation. I mainly plan to use to read PDFs and comics. Plus as a notebook on the go (probably not too often) and a backup for my desktop. Not sure whether it's an overkill or not.

I've been trying to look for an android tablet bigger than 10.1 inch, so far either Samsung Note Pro 12.2 or Lenovo Yoga Tab Pro 13.3 but both are expensive RM2K+, so Surface Pro 3 makes more sense I thinks.

Chrome is known for bad battery consumption, google 'Chrome battery drain' and you can find many result about it.
With chrome I can only reach at max 5 hours, with IE/Edge however, I can reach 8-9 hours (I'm using Surface Pro 3).

There are few ways to 'optimize' it a bit though:
- Use H264ify extension to use H264 codec to playback video (more info: https://www.reddit.com/r/Surface/comments/2..._your_surface/)
- Use uBlock instead of AdBlock
- Disable 'Continue running background apps when Google Chrome is closed' in settings, however this may cause some 'Chrome apps' unable to use when chrome is closed.

Google also promised to improve Chrome on this battery drain issue.  Hopefully they can really solve this soon.

IE/Edge is really 'naked' compared to Chrome/Firefox in terms of functionality, but I can say IE11 Metro is one of the best touch-screen optimized browser I ever tried (even better than some mobile OS browser).  I really hope Microsoft can deploy the touch gesture and also plugin to Edge ASAP.

I don't think it's expensive 'a bit' only. Starting prices is about RM4K even for the basic model, with the MYR depreciation vs USD. 

Is the screen of Surface 3 much smaller than Surface 3 Pro? 10.8 vs 12", big difference or not? 

Definitely i5 if you want to do productive stuff.

Core M only good for normal usage, both got pros and cons.

I never face any absurd heat problem with SP3, battery life is way better than normal laptops.

Me. Shipping to a US address, then forward to Malaysia. 512GB model before the 1TB model appeared.

This makes me cry huhu...let me think even more that I couldn't afford it.

Is Windows 10 ready for prime time yet? Are the bugs ironed out yet? Please kindly advise. Thanks.

I am using the 2GB / 64GB version. It is pretty good in Windows 8.1

Windows 10 is more future proof.

Finally unboxing it!
It came with Win 8.1 and I did clean install of Win 10 Insider Preview
So far no BSOD and still thinking chrome or firefox as main browser

Anyone having problem using the Facebook app in tablet mode?

When I click the Facebook app and after login, the facebook app will disappear suddenly.

Why I couldn't use my hand phone charger to charge my Surface 3? Under power?

in my case, can charge at 2.1A. just that if i use the surface while charging, then the % won't increase. but if we leave it on, it will charge. so, when i travel, can charge surface & fon overnight with multislot charger (1A + 2.1A).
