QUOTE(DeepMemory @ Jul 14 2018, 01:26 PM) Guys, any idea if the 64GB Surface Go version has additional slot to add on SSD? looking at the surface design, and design history, no. it'll probably be soldered on to maintain its "thinnest surface yet" claim. it is expandable via microSD though. I'll still recommend staying away from the 64gb emmc version. emmc is painfully slow compared to regular ssd.

If there is a slot then it would be awesome as SSD prices are very affordable now.

QUOTE(Enemy @ Jul 12 2018, 10:16 PM) Guys, my Surface Pro 4 - 256GB i7 8GB screen is bulging / lifted pretty badly I'm guessing due to overheating. The thing is.... the damn device overheats even when you don't do anything! And guess what, this is my 2nd unit after warranty. The 1st unit had flickering screen issue also due to overheating, and current unit also has this issue but now gotten worst with bulging screen. I'm pretty pissed off with it & Microsoft right now, their website support is not helpful at all especially due to expired warranty. Any of you guys have a support contact number I can call directly? Also please let me know if any of you guys have similar issue. Edit: Here's a photo to show just how bad it is. Just an update: Microsoft is going to send me a replacement (exact same specs), at no cost even though it is already out of warranty now here's just hoping this won't happen again, but I'm 100% sure the flickering screen issue will definitely happen again as my first 2 units had that same problem. Edit: In case someone else is also having a problem finding their support contact number as I did - https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/40...e-phone-numbersThis post has been edited by Enemy: Jul 20 2018, 08:30 AM

Good to hear that you get free replacement. Same RMA process as previous?

QUOTE(aral3005 @ Jul 19 2018, 12:53 PM) Not sure if it's still in warranty Any place to send them for repair? Nope, it's not user serviceable. Even Microsoft don't service it, they'll replace your unit with a refurbished one. Refurbishing probably done at at factory, I'm guessing foxcon.

QUOTE(aral3005 @ Jul 19 2018, 12:53 PM) Not sure if it's still in warranty Any place to send them for repair? I've replied to your PM but forgot to answer one of your questions; no they no longer have a physical store or service center (or at least none that I'm aware of). This flickergate issue is really dumb.. there's no way to avoid it and apparently there's just no fix. I just pretty much had to learn to live with it i.e. the moment I see slight flicker I start saving my work and let the damn thing rest.

did some research on SP3 heating issue. Apparently, i3 doesn't seem to have much heating issue in compared to i5 and i7 and fan doesn't kicks in often. Any i3 users can confirm about this?

y u need to download iso?u just need to update ur sp3 to latest and u will see the win10 icon then reserve after that reboot then right click the win10 icon u can see it ask u to download win 10.its still broken with tablet mode,as when u use modern apps onenote, its not full screen u still can see the task bar below and its abot annoying bcoz when u start to write ur hand will accidentally touch the touch bar and will activate app like clock and etc If you wish to share IOS movies with your friend and families, it is better to burn ISO to DVD and then play them on TV. Though you could watch them on the computer with a virtual drive. This post has been edited by rascalm: Jul 26 2018, 01:51 PM

QUOTE(sjsk @ Jun 13 2018, 12:56 PM) They are just launching the i5 128gb 8gb ram. Check SNS network. Picked this one up from Harvey Norman while I was in KL. I was wondering if anyone knows whether the SP4 screen protector would fit on it. Thanks
