The 9hr battery life estimate was done with video playback tests, which the Skylake processors in the Surface line excels at, due to it being able to playback without taxing the CPU.

I think my SP4 i5 lasted about 7 hours from full charge, 5 of which was notetaking and the other 2 hours being some light web browsing. I'm on 25% brightness though, and I have battery saver on.

Normal usage for me usually is around 5~6 hours+, as in photoshop and chrome. If I only use it for browsing and some short youtube videos, it can really last like 8 hours. And this is coming from a very old Surface Pro model, the one that consume A LOT of power. Surface Pro 4 will definitely last longer. Of course you have to optimize it properly, maybe go power saving mode, when you're browsing and stuff doesn't require too much processing power, limit it. Brightness, turn off other unnecessary stuff.

Harvey norman is very convenient, check through website to see every store stock availability.

Since the inner side of the device is only accessible if we take out the fragile screen (and seems to be almost impossible not to crack the screen in the process), I'm not sure how they want to change the battery...

SP3 Dock will charge the battery iirc... not sure SP4.

Thanks for the advise. After my LAZADA ordeal now really phobia for online shopping. Now i am at Harvey Norman page and whether to press proceed with payment. A lot things running in my mind like....
1. Will i paid and then the package don't arrive due to delay again but you can buy from retail outlets.
