G'day! OK, just a quick question. Can parts (head, pistons, etc.) from a 4G18 engine (Waja) be brought over to older engines, such as 4G15 & 4G13? I was just wondering as parts between 4G15 & 4G13 are cross-compatible. Since a Waja's 4G18 is also within the 4G1X range, I just wanted to know if these parts can be mixed & matched. The differences are obvious, but I'm asking nevertheless Thanks guys!

dun think it's possible as cc might be different plus the engine design also different, there might be some small part which r same but it's not as good as getting from same engine

So it should be 4GXX because the 4G1X does not share that many parts Furthermore, the 4G18 engine is based on the post 96 lancer design, meaning the engine is rotated 180 degrees with the timing belt on the driver side. It almost has no similarity with the rest of the 4G1X family... Think of it this way.. you have 6 children.. all with black hair and black eyes and they are all part of the 4G1X family.. while the 4G18 child would have blond hair and blue eyes..

Nice way of putting it Well, can I at least use the pistons from the 4G18 on the 4G15? P.S: What's the engine class for the 1.8 Wajas?

I was wondering, is the Proton Waja the first to use 4G18?

I'm not pretty sure the chassis codes for Lancer, but it should be the one which had different platform than Wira

How are the results? Good? P.S: Dude, you've been posting quite a few [WTS] threads around. Hope you could manage them better Your stuff is really enticing, but without pictures or testimonials, it's kinda hard for us to judge anything Hope you don't mind the open comment

no problems! if u wanna see the stuff, give me a call, no oblightions at all. i don't have a digital camera to take the shots:-( maybe if i can sell more stuff, i'll be able to afford one.
as for the mod job, i have two customers running 4g15 engines stroked to 1.6 using those waja parts. with fast road spec cams, a ported cylinder head and a piggy back ecu, we managed to get 125hp on wheels.

Dude, I'm also running oversized pistons on one of my Saga's. Went for an overhaul & was rebored (...standard overhaul practice, right? ) to it's final possible rebore size (...any idea what size?) But I'm not sure if these pistons are 1.6 pistons or smaller/larger Is reboring a 4g15 block to fit 1.8 pistons a little too enthusiastic? Anyway, the 4G15's in question here is from a Saga Auto. Say "carbie"

Yes, it's the engine's 1st overhaul... BUT according to my mechanic, there's no where to go after my final rebore. They messed up during the 1st rebore & had to take it all the way to the end I guess I'll have to use this engine until it's dead No more overhauls Anyway, UGPM
