install the windows 7, insert the serial key that you bought before.
then download the windows 10 apps and wait for the confirmation.

Does this work on pirated OS? Because i buy my laptop with provided OS which i presume pirated.
So, can i upgrade to win 10?

I hope it supported other pirated softwares too.(pre-installed when i buy the laptop)

We don't talk about piracy here but a laptop with an installed OS doesn't mean it's pirated. However it also depends on whether you buy your pc from random shops, retail shops or official flagship stores.
IF a pirated win8.1 supports windows update (means can receive updates from microsoft even though the OS is not genuine) then it can most probably upgrade to win10. Otherwise I have no idea, maybe you can also trigger manual download and upgrade too.

I know, but i have to mention it.
the store which i bought the laptop does say the OS was Original, but i didn't have the Installation DVD, so i think it might be pirated.
I use Win 7 Home Premium. Never updated since i bought it.
I want to make it legal because i don't support piracy.
i hope i can get away from piracy (able install win 10 without being sued/getting trouble after installing legit win 10 from Microsoft)

Edit: My laptop is Acer Aspire, and i did buy it from an Acer store. About the OS originality, i'm not sure.

You must update to Windows 7 SP1 (https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=5842) and use the Windows 10 Creator Tool (https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10) to upgrade. No need to wait for confirmation.

Most laptops have the product code of windows underneath of the laptop on a sticker, probably red.

Since you bought it from official store,for sure it's legit.
But to be sure, validate it online. If your system passed it, most probably you're running a genuine windows, or the store used a very good crack/activator

But seriously, you never perform a clean install/format since you bought the laptop?

shop do not provide installation disc when you purchase except u opt for paying extra for installation disc.

As long as your PC already activated and can receive the update then sure you can

never did once. but it says on my comp properties its activated and genuine.
