you better get 1 G RAM.
My gaming experience with 512 is kind of cacat something.
After pumped to 1 G, wow!

The old rig that I'm playing on..

Processor: AMD Athlon 1800+
RAM: 512MB (SDRAM non the less)
Graphic Card: NVidia GeForce 4 MX (64MB)

I run it at 24bit color depth.. with a low 800x600 resolution.. I got screen stutter and stuff.. its not great but hey.. Its all I got.. and the important thing is.. I CAN PLAY WOW!!!!! Whohoo!!

Mine was ATI 9600XT 256Mb Video card
1 gb of DDR2 Ram
2.6GhZ

Can or not? I mean full performance

don't think can set to highest performance...

Settings Low and yet my FPS damn freaking low. Skip frames during 40 man raids and all....

Dunno what to do already..thinking of buying new rig to play this damn game....

go for nvidia, I am using winfast px6200 TC TDC, so far ok. My gf's pc ati x550 card with 512 ram damn sux T_T

i have AMD64 3000+ nVidia 7600GS 256ram, and 1gb ram dual channeled onboard.. performance, AWESOME.. I can set the highest setting and no lag / frame skipping at all ^^

Linkz.. ur rig is good enough to play. WoW's "highest" setting will differ from pc to pc as it depends on ur hardware. imo, u will have no problem enjoying the game with what u have now. Its the gameplay and fun factor that made this game the most played mmo worldwide & not its graphics. WoW gfx has been known to take a back seat to other mmos out there like EQ in terms of realism. WoW takes on a a diff type of gfx (not realistic & human like), one that is consistent and evident in all warcraft games. I like it a lot.

LinkZ, your setup is about same as my.
And you don't need to setup everything to MAX.
That will cost you a bomb, likely 5k+ PC.

For me, the improvement from 512 M -> 1 G is especially when I crossing zone, no more pc-lagging.
pc-lagging still occured, but far lesser and very short.

The next important performance for the online gaming is your connectivity.

1Gb of RAM also lag?What happened?

RAM is the important factor here. Last time when I had 512mb of RAM, I always lag when flying into IF. Now, with 1256mb of RAM, I fly in and out without any lag.

Graphics card plays a small role actually, I do raiding and PVP on my this miserable (but lovable) laptop and it's fine

So I would say:
Connection >> RAM >> graphics card.

go 2gb if you think you can splurge.

My rig: Pentium IV 2.4c, 4x512mb DDR333 Ram, Leadtek 7600GT TDH 256mb

Performance: All bells and whistles turned up max and no lag whatsoever, 40-60fps but goes sub 20fps in Orgrimmar on peak hours.

Its ok but I have to turn down a lot of settings or else they will murder my FPS. Not to mention I am playing under 1680x1050 screen size.

"Max settings" may not be a good measure of rig performance because WoW max settings will differ from pc 2 pc due 2 hardware. The correct measure would be the resolution that WoW tells you is your max res with current hardware vs fps. my 2 c.

I don't see why not.

My laptop's graphics card is only a Radeon X300 with 64mb memory, but my RAM is 1.2gigs la but I can still run WoW smoothly without any hitches.

If I were you, I'll just get another 512mb of RAM and play it. If you are not sure whether or not you like it, just PM me or anyone that currently plays for a free 10-day trial

yea...my laptop using Intel GME 855 intergrated graphic from intel still can play WoW...my RAM is 1.2 GB and kinda laggy if u in a raid...other than that its A OK

YES! You Can!! I still play with my old rig.. and yours even have better graphic card then me! hehe.. I had to make it 800x600 at 24bit but I experienced acceptable frame rate..

And.. if u ever did decided to play WoW.. come to Aman'thul horde side.. we could explore Azeroth together.. with crappy frame rates and all

I have FX5200 running on my machine now! and WOW! does everything looks beautiful when running at 1024x720!

Yes you do...RAM is enough but 1.5Gig is better even though i'm using 1gig but i feel it's enough...

i not sure abt the gc of urs but 1gig is enuf..

i think its enough for a 1gb ram.. mine 768 DDR1 ram also ok ok dy.. maybe u just need to get a gc lo if u wan quality

run quite well for me at least.. if i put level 4 then will have some lag spikes

if u really want to confirm with ur PC whether can support onot.. i suggest u install the game n log in with ur real life friend's account... to test the performance on ur PC.. then only decide to start playing onot

Play PvP server...I'm sure you will enjoy PvP server more than PvE server.PvP server never gets bored and very fun everytime which is you worried abt horde ganked you or you ganked horde.PvE server is a little carebear...just leveling and nothing to do.If you want to have a pvp fight you have to go to arena.But i respect those which is in PvE server because different people had a different perspective.Cheers

The RM120 one is the top up, something like using prepaid. If your time is up, you need to buy the RM120 card to top up.

So, if you get the 10 days free trial, you will get:
10 + 30 (from the retail) = 40 days of gameplay

Without the freetrial you will only get 30 days of gameplay.
