Can anyone recommend me a decent Organ? Brands such as? Yamaha? How much do they cost actually? I actually found one at Giant, selling only RM120. Thought of buying that, but I need to do some survey first before I proceed.

RM120 for an organ? Are you sure? shakehead.gif I'm not too sure of the prices of organs, but even for a decent & playable second-hand, a RM120 is wayyy too cheap. Or did you mean RM1200?

How about keyboards? Or even USB midi controllers that run on softwares (A full size one probably cost abt RM1xxx)?

Oh like Jan Hammer also. Somehow I think those keyboards look ridiculous, no matter how cool/good the player is. tongue.gif

Sheet, i got mixed up between organ and keyboard. I mean keyboard ler, sorry for the confusion. tongue.gif

The one I saw at Giant is for kids I think, because of it's size, but the size is still ok for me. And, the buttons are quite good looking and the features are not too bad, there was also another keyboard but not much features, only RM85.

Those Yamaha or other brands, how much?

I always love the sound of Korg or Roland keyboards. They program each different sound so accurately its as if you're playing the real thing. Plus action of the keys are somewhat similar to a grand piano .... i dunno how to say it ... erh, its like having a super cun Logitech keyboard, very "soft and nice to press" kinda feeling. biggrin.gif

One tip, my keyboardist always said "If the keyboard is slim and sexy, its very expensive and sounds very nice" So if you come across a big, huge keyboard ... chances are its the low level models. laugh.gif

I haven't come across a decent keyboard for under 5k yet. Those between 5k-10k are not so bad. And for really good ones with nice onboard sound samples/patches/pads (Rolands and Korgs and some Yamahas) be prepared to dish out about 15k.

The other option is to use software and a MIDI controller. With 88 keys you have quite a big range i think. And you can link controllers to either give you a wider scale, or play 2 or more instruments at once. And software doesn't have to be expensive.... whistling.gif But you didn't hear that from me, got it....

Slim and Sexy (Chapalang brands not included like the one I saw at Giant), i don't even know what brand it is, it stated the model (MK-904) though.

Fuhhh, RM5K - 10K definitely out from my list. Even if a keyboard cost RM5K, i prefer to get a good Piano and the remaining money for Keyboard. I will only buy a Piano when I have my own home. That's why I prefer something easy to keep and doesn't take much space, and also budget wise lare.

- Korg
- Roland (Saw this brand before...)
- Yamaha (Too common brand?)

budget keyboard....Casio jumps into mind. They're cheap, and don't sound bad enough to make you puke. Most models are maybe about 500-600 bucks?
