For many ppl, money is very important, even for me, no money no talk. But if you do things that you have no interest on everyday, you will get boring, and tired. Interest might not earn you enough money, but that is not forever.

For example, you have a degree in computer science, and if you work as a programmer, you can get RM2k as start and slowly increase by RM200 yearly(figures are assume only). But since you arent interest in it, you could not do it very good, and only right after expected from your superior. Your salary increment or rank will hit a wall 1 day where you cannot improve anymore.

But if you work with your interest, you always do it better compare to ppl who work for money only, you willing to spend extra time doing research/ study on things you dont know but interested on/discuss with friends/expert in that field. Your study/ research might not prove useful atm, but will more or less help you understand better compare to others, or count it as extra knowledge(it is highly depents on your wisdom). So if you do work as a graphic designer(your interest), without the support from your degree, you cant get as high salary as working as a programmer, maybe RM1500 you can get or even lesser, RM1200, but if you can do alot(not just a little) better compare to others, your company will value you higher, you will get better increment(maybe RM300 maybe or better) or a bonus(1 month), or have a much higher chance to get promoted to a leader(if your company has the chance).

Yeah, you could say if u get promoted to programmer leader can get higher salary compare to leader of other department, but ask yourself, can you do it better compare to programmers who do have interest in that field while you interested in others ?

Lastly, ppl who work because of interest happier compare to ppl who work for money only. Choose 1, marriage with some1 you love, or marriage with some1 you dont like, but who is rich. For sure ppl will choose marriage with some1 whos rich and you like, but if you can found it, i have to congratz you, not all have the chance to have both.
