Nice one! Parking.

Sharing this too:

First impressions by MKBHD.

To TS: You think should including the X Play here too? Can consolidate under Moto X thread.

With the current exchange rate, it might touch 2K or even more.

I think will barely reach RM2K, maybe RM1800-1900. But the more important question is when? If like the 2014 version reach so late, and only 16GB, no point. sad.gif

It is Motorola's flagship smartphone for 2015, of course it's going to be more than RM1K.

Even OnePlus One, claimed to be flagship killer smartphone also cost more than RM1K. rolleyes.gif

3300mah for 1080p screen vs 3000mah for 2K screen
4GB RAM vs 3GB RAM
$389 vs $399

Think bout it.

Those Moto Nexus 6 owner will butt hurt to spent so much money when the X Style is cheaper and relatively better.

I'm expecting Nexus 6 price to drop 25% soon...LOL...

Actually, I strongly believe Moto X Style/Pure/Play will be better than OP2 in terms of the whole user experience. Vanilla Android or AOSP vs Oxygen OS which is slow for updates and full of bugs still.

Moto X has curved back, so it feels wonderful to hold in your hands. OP2, well it's a slab like OPO.

S810, even with v2.1 still heats up. S808 is more neutral and balance.

Battery life, you still going to charge it every other day.

Anything more than 2GB of RAM is overkill, more than that is just icing on the cake.

Price point, well if you have USD400 just pick and choose. Then settle.

The phone is actually quite good but sad thing is it won't come to Malaysia. So the OPT make more sense as it is stated that it will come to Malaysia in Q4.

For updates, I believe both Moto and OP2 have tons of custom developers ready for any updates. So, it lies down to hardware.

On battery life, yes we are going to charge it every single day. However, are you going to charge it every 10 hours, 15 hours or 20 hours?

>2GB RAM overkill? The more RAM the better. If not why Samsung goes for 3GB RAM for S6? Better just stays at 2GB then.

Camera. OP2 have OIS, Moto doesn't have it.
Finger print. Same, OP2 have it but Moto doesn't.
Alert slider. Same, OP2 have it and it's quite useful as in iPhones.

So, OP2 stills pawns Moto in my opinion.

The screen is bigger than OP2, processor wise SD808 is less likely to overheat as compared to a SD810 (despite OP claiming that they have underclocked it to minimise such occurences).

Sometimes higher specs may not guarantee a satisfactory user experience, it depends on what the user is willing to overlook. You can't have everything.

I'd prefer that the manufacturer gives regular updates to the OS. Motorola is one of the fastest in seeding out Android updates as they come.

However, procuring the device is such a pain cause of the time it takes for it to officially come to M'sia. Might as well get it via parallel importers.
