I got the update as well.. was playing until act 5 edi.. left my xbox outside in the living room.. went out.. as I came back.. fired up my xbox.. I'm in act 1 I think someone selected new campaign when I was out but nvm.. the game is good, so playing it again is not a problem

Found several cure for some of the problem...

"When I play single player it will freeze every 2 or 3 minutes. I thought it was the HD, or the console or something. Anyway, when I pulled out my ETHERNET cable to my router it all stops. As soon as you put it in - even at the main screens - it will LOCK the console"

"This happened to me, except it was every 30-60 minutes of non-stop playing. I exchanged it for a new disk, and I haven't had any problems so far. (knock on wood)"

well currently my 5 xbox 360 been running 12 hours whole day. running Gears of War all the time~

Multiplay and Single Player seems ok at the moment.

So is my 360..no problem at all..for both single and multiplayer...but quiet surprise when others had lot of problems...

after what happened to bro alkt and jaylike... i am worried lah when wanna play GoW. furthermore mine is 1st batch japanese set and most of the 1st batch owners dont get good ending

Dun worry lar Judge, depends on ur luck. Yesterday .. i took the risk of playing GOW in multiplayer and guess what, **knock on wood**, it did not get hang/froze, summore I play with angmo .. no lack at all.

might wanna pay bro metal a visit asap... wanna seek his advice on this 3ROD matters.

i got 2rol coz my bro 4got to remove the cloth cover from xbox when he played gow. after removing the cloth n reboot, all's fine. the xbox super freakin hot tho, n the fan's sound can make u sh!t ur pants

Played finished the entire GOW campaign in multiplayer co-op with a friend from casual to insane. Noticed that when I loaded up hardcore and insane, once in a while I would get a black/blank screen for a split second, doesn't happen often, got me worried when it happened >.< and at times it stutters but I guess this can be attributed to loading a new scene (hence sometimes can see blurry textures) but not sure what causes the black screen pauses.

My friend didn't run into the black/blank screen issue but it had the tendency to hang his console every now and then, this was when playing either GOW or R6: Vegas.
