Look at Japan, their country is so stressful that people just dont want to make babies anymore, unless they are 110% sure they can provide them a good life.
I think han has a good point, parents are not supposed to make their children fix the world they damaged, they are supposed to try their best to fix it and give their children the power to fix it too, since it cant be fixed in one or two generation. We still need to make babies, just require a lot more planning and responsibility.

Our children dont deserve the coming disasters we created, we must be able to look them in the eyes and say "We are fighting for you, we will fight with you, we are not going to leave you a damaged world to fix by yourselves, lets fix it together."
