Hi guys I have problem with my hard drive after I formatted my pc. My OS (SSD) disk and one of my three hard drive are showing up on the Removable Storage on the taskbar. Is there any way to fix this? Tried changing the better perfomance to quick removal in hardware but it didn't help. sad.gif

Sound normal to me, as all internal HDD is "plug and play" like thumb drive.

Not all motherboards has the ability to disable hot swap.

ericlooiz check your BIOS option.
See if you can find the option to disable hot swap.

Not good.
IDE is a very old interface, you wouldn't be able to enjoy all the extra features AHCI has to offer you.

Then HDD stays as USB lor. For newer SSDs, it won't benefit anyway. But hot swap sure is convenient.

AHCI doesn't make the HDD run as USB, it just make the drives easier to remove.

What do you mean newer SSD doesn't get any benefit from AHCI?
SSD's requires AHCI to activate TRIM. TRIM will not run if you choose IDE.

Fixed the problem already due to some error in driver. Probably installed some driver that didn't download completely and disable the hotswapping. Thanks for the help!
