Ever since I started out, I noticed that any brand of strings (other than Elixir) would get rusty on me in a matter of just hours of playing.
The problem isn't only the extremely fast rusting but also, the feeling is really uneasy for me. Sliding and moving about the neck feels sticky and jumpy, I can't get a smooth slide and move around like I do
with Elixir strings..
Which is why I use only Elixir strings, so I have that solved.

But I have a guitar that is in Drop B, and Elixir doesn't have the gauge that I want for the guitar.. So I end up having to use D'Addario's gauge .12
I've used them for awhile now and, just right after restringing it feels fine, having a little bit of that stickiness roughness, but it can get pretty rusty on me in just about 2 hours of playing.

I've tried many things like washing my hands before playing, fast fret before playing, fast fret after playing.. what am I missing out?

What do you guys think?

Q tips or finger can do. Just wipe em with it.

Any i guess, olive oil not cheap also haha.

It slows down the rusting process. And do keep guitar in case or bags if u in air con room.

next time you goin to change strings tell the shop dude your problem see he can recommend any other brand or not.

You applied olive oil on your strings before? Any issues? Not sticky or anything?

Most shops only have D'Addario gauge .12 sad.gif other than that I've used Cleartone's, but still the same thing
