This has nothing to do with the website. You have to do it in the router page. It's hard to teach you how to do it here so you'll have to google it.

I think he means changing the actual password - I guess this has to be done by TM but it's pointless changing - not like you'll be using it frequently.

For those who upgraded - to VIP 50, did they need to check available ports?

I went to TM Point last week to upgrade from 20 to 50 and they told me no free ports so need to wait around a week or 2. Surely it'll be using the same port that I'm using currently?

No he wants to know his password so that in the event he wants to change router he can do it without calling TM. Since the only place you can see your password is in the router setup page, I'm telling him to change the setting from password format to text format so that he cab copy it down. Chrome has the functionality to change the properties of the HTML page for local viewing.

Oh yeah I got that part, thought he wanted to change the password itself too. My bad

On my DIR615 years ago was just a case of viewing source, password was there in plain text biggrin.gif

Edit : Seems he does - I don't think this will be possible without contacting TM. Anyway, it's pointless to change it to something memorable - how often are you going to need it?

Not bad biggrin.gif Did you have to wait for an open port on the upgrade or did it go under the existing one?

Existing vip20 under contract. Just need less than 1 hour for the activation.

Thanks.

Maybe the staff got something mixed up then with needing to wait for a port. Existing VIP 20 as well btw.

YouTube having some issues here too recently (VIP 20)

And remote access (VPN to UK) slow between 8-10/11PM. Didn't use to have these problems before.

I have a feeling this started once they introduced 30/50mb packages around here!
