QUOTE(fruitie @ Jul 26 2015, 09:04 PM) I really don't know how to deal with this. Any advice guys? Really cannot get 30Mbps via WiFi? If that's the case and they still upgraded mine and I can't use it, I will complain to MCMC. You can get a reasonably good router (ASUS/TPlink) for ~about rm150 thru lazada/rakuten after getting discount from voucher & CC's CB.

QUOTE(fruitie @ Jul 26 2015, 09:48 PM) Currently I have no issue with my WiFi, always around 11Mbps up and down on my VIP10. It's pretty stable for me. Sigh, do I really need to? I don't know how to install, I always have problems with router. Always have to spend 1-2days to figure which part went wrong. Get one which is preconfigured for UNIFI, or get to know a techie friend who can help.

QUOTE(fruitie @ Jul 26 2015, 10:19 PM) Good idea to get a pre-configured one, nobody is free for me. I really don't want to spend so much la. Your Ambank's CB can easily cover this expense. Or go and look for more CB.

QUOTE(fruitie @ Jul 27 2015, 08:11 AM) Thanks for the advice but the fact is I rent a room and my router is in my room, I use WiFi only when I'm on the bed which is less than 1.5m away from router (maximum). Else, my laptop is just right next to my router. That's the reason why I can get full 11Mbps on my current VIP10. To cut cost just buy a 5m LAN cable which allows u to wired-access from any corner of your room, when u think wifi access is no good.

I have rented a 2-storey house(B) directly opposite my house(A) to use as my home office. The 2 houses are separated by a 20ft wide road. Currently I have vip10 installed. How can I share my VIP10(& phone) across the road? Distance from Point-to-point is ~120ft.

QUOTE(KKW @ Aug 1 2015, 08:42 PM) Hmm still cheaper than what I am paying now RM259 for VIP20 with Ja-Jambo pack which I don't watch/use at all My aunty house get upgraded from VIP10 to 30mbps at RM199 with ruby pack and maintain free calls So it is better I take the VIP5 with basic Hypptv+freefall n then few month later upgrade to the same package like your aunt's

QUOTE(^Ware^wolf @ Sep 3 2015, 10:14 PM) dont talk cock in unifi thread... not talking cock but wolf-in-sheepskin. plain-cloth agent? Sorry if it hurts your ricebowl. That was to show how UNIFI has progressed compare to our neighbourly red-dot, far-far behind. This post has been edited by MGM: Sep 3 2015, 11:16 PM
