This is the first tournament after MI2 and Zenith showed their skills to the Malaysian scene in a pulsating Zion net Dota tourney. Teams will surely have improved since then. Looking forward to see some great improvements in terms of skill and drafts. With inclusion of the 2 new heroes in drafts , better gameplay is expected from the top teams sucj as Cybertime , SK , Elites , Wizz and Winternight.

Hope we get updates here from the organisers as the other thread seems full of pre tourney info =)

Now its the time for the round of 16, where the 16 teams that made it through are:

MKVL1, DNA-Skz, Cybertime, Autosurf Fun, Wish, GS, Sakai, GF, Elites, Cybertime X, T2LY, Autosurf DH, Wizz Rev, Netcity and Dna-Sk

Some of the matches of the round of 16 had already finished due to time constraint where MKVL1 won DNA-Skz and Autosurf DH won T2LY.

More updates coming soon.

Latest updates. Autosurf won their match against former Enet, Elites. This is actually a match that has been anticipated for the tourney where everyone will finally have a look at AutoSurf-DH formed by former Enet player, Odin against his old comrades. AutoSurf with fellow old timer such as Mookie, Chobo and Odin outplayed Elites and won this quater final match.

While another exciting match that has been completed is the match with current defending champion of SMM against the champion of Malaysia in WCG Wizz Rev. Note that Wizz Rev is a combination of their first team and second team. With the new participation of former BZ2 attacker, Nataku. It seems that DNA-SK doesnt have to worry about lack of firepower when Battle Angel decided to skip this tourney to concentrate on his SPM examination. The match ended with DNA-SK won against Wizz Rev. Seems like they still remain the hot favourite for this tourney.

Cybertime which played against MKVL barely had any difficulties in this match as they dominate the game since the beginning. After Sven and QOP got buffed, they decided to go for the push and won the match when MKVL fail to defend against all the buff heroes that is follow by an army of Neutrals microed by Chen.

Finally the match between GS and GF of Seremban and the situation actually looks quite bad for GF where their Sven used up all his Aegis and cant find any way to push into the opponent base. GS maintained their threat by consercutive push one after another. GF finally decided to go directly for the throne when Viper, QOP got their aegis. After 2 attempts they finally broke the Sentinel's tree although GS put up a good fight to defend against them.

Next will be the Semi final between Cybertime vs GF and DNA-SK against Autosurf DH.

More updates coming soon.

Finally finished class , and what a shocker of results. Autosurf the new boys of competitive Dota really pulled off some nice frags here elminating Elites and SK enroute to finals.

The team from Seremban reached the semifinals , good job to you guys. Hope you guys can make something out of the match against SK for third place =).

I do heard some players noticing that Cybertime do have a relatively easy bracket compared to other teams . But maybe it is just coincidence , hehe

Nice work done by Odin , recruiting Chobo and Mookie to your team and bring Autosurf into the realms of strong team .

Hope the replays will be posted up soon.

First of all, I would like to thank all the teams that participated in this tourney, without your support, this tourney will not be a success. The tourney runs smoothly throughout the day, not mentioning few unwanted fatal errors that occured =P.

Although this is just a mini tournament, but we received tremendous support by all the teams around KL and some even came as far as Penang, Ipoh and Seremban. So once again, I would like to thank team NetCity and team GF for their support. Hope that you guys can participate again in our next tourney early of next year.

Second, I wanted to clarify that why certains bracket looks harder and why some dont. All the brackets are drawn randomly but there's some adjustment made. Notice that bracket 2 has mostly unknown team in it and this is due to the organizer's idea to let those minor teams in our dota community to have fairer chance to reach the semi final. Just imagine that if your team that is quite new has to face Wizz or DNA-SK in the first round of the tourney and in the round of 16 only those major sponsored teams got through, what would you think? We try to let these teams to have better chances to play with.

Actually, saying that Cybertime has a easier bracket is just not true. We actually sponsored two teams in this tourney and this 2 teams will be separated in different brackets to be fair. This is our policy of handling tournament where most of the CC that sponsored 2 teams such as DNA-SK, AutoSurf, Wizz will be separated so that if they will meet each other, that would only happened either in Semi-Final or Final.

I don't see that Cybertime actually has easier bracket. Although Cybertime X is actually having a harder time facing those famous team comparing with another Cybertime team. The team that got champion is actually placed together with DNA-SKz, Winternight, MKVL1 and Autosurf. Although there are no big names such as Elites, Wizz and SK in it, but these opponent strength should not be underestimated since there are all very experienced teams. Maybe it happens that suddenly team Winternight withdraw from the tourney at last minutes so some people seems to think Cybertime is having a easier route.

I hope that everyone can be satisfied and happy with my explanation here as I dont want to go around and offends all the team that has supported us for this tourney. All we want to do is to promote our Dota community as well as our new branch. We will accept your opinions and we hope that the next tournament will be a success as well. Cheers

I have to agree that the toughest match for Cybertime in their route to final is against Autosurf Fun. Can't make much comment though since I m from Cybertime too, people might think my comment is biassed. So I try to enlight people a little here, lolz

Autosurf came out with early AOE heroes such as Warlock, Jakiro, Chen, Vengeful Spirit and Venomacer. While Cybertime came out with QOP, Sand King, Viper, Lich and Zeus.

Auto decided to use the more traditional yet widely proven strong combination of VS plus Chen at the top lane meeting up with Lich and Sand King. While in middle lane is the battle of solo heroes, Viper against Warlock and bottom lane is Jakiro with Venomacer against QOP and Zeus. Obviously that AutoSurf strats is to try and get early kills with their nuking mage skills and this is true when QOP and Zeus actually had a very hard time dealing with Jakiro and Venomacer due to both of their AOE Poison Nova and Macropyre. Note that Jakiro alone actually can due huge damage to the opponents due to his dual breath and ice path that is very useful in pressing opponent heroes.

While in mid lane, Viper first item is a Vanguard and this prooves fatal for him as he is encountaring a bunch of int heroes where Vanguard doesnt come useful for him due to all the nuking skills. In the solo battle, Warlock got the upperhand in it and this is rather costly for team Cybertime as Warlock got very buffed later on in the game. He manage to farm his refresher orb and they start pushing quite early in the game.

While at the top lane, the combination of Lich and Sand King is not any threat to VS and Chen since Chen has already found an army of neutrals to protect and kill for them. Forcefully, SK manage to farm his dagger while Lich does has a difficult time to come up even with a single Mekanism. In the other hand, VS got his aegis pretty easily and Chen also came out with his Meka since SK and Lich decided to forgone the lane and move to other lanes to execute some ganks rather than staying there doing nothing helplessly.

Although VS came out with his Aegis preety fast but it deemed useless since Cybertime always try to catch him offguard or try to aim VS first to waste his aegis shot so in the middle of them game when none of the push was successful, VS had already finished up all his remaining shot. Middle game is a torture to team Cybertime where Warlock double Inferno totally own. Note that Warlock already had BKB and Refresher Orb that time( and maybe BOT as well)

But Team Cybertime after facing this kind of strategy for a few times they manage to buy the right item. Zeus manage to get the first diffusal Diffusal Blade and this reduced half the firepower of Warlock. QOP instead of farming his usual Eye Of Skadi, he came out with Aegis first then Eul and this is one of the decisive factor of the match. Each time the battle engaged, its quite balance where each team will got 2 of their heroes killed, but since QOP got his aegis and manage to survive due to its armor, he quickly recharge and then came out and hunt the remaining heroes down while Viper farm his Radience after the BKB and Vanguard he got.

Cybertime kept playing defend and counter strategy. When the time SK got the team 2nd diffusal blade, and Viper got his Radience, the situation has a complete turnover where when the battle is actually won by Cybertime and they manage to become the first to take down the opponents barracks. By this time, all the heroes other than VS ( Aegis SNY) and Warlock ( BOT, Soul Booster, BKB, Refresher ORB) is already no match for the buffed QOP and Viper. Team Cybertime direct go for the Throne and won the match although team Auto managed to put up quite a fight to defend their throne ( they even triple kill team Cybertime)

In my opinion, team Autosurf didnt made any mistake, their strat is to push earlier and when team Cybertime managed to defend, this is costly to them since they actually dont have any end game heroes in their line up to fight with Viper and QOP. Anyhow, Team Autosurf Fun is sure the toughest opponent met during this tourney. Good game indeed. Cheers

lol.that game we got a lot of mistakes.we dun have enough experience yet.but i have to say that cybertime is really good..they could change strat in the middle of the game and in that situation which they were losing at that time..like qop changed his item to aegis.and zeus even got dagger.
when they got diffusal, things have started to get difficult for us..and their 5v5 battle is freakin good..very organised..unlike us, kinda messed up and kept on failed to push in.
i got nothin to say..cybertime is really good..2 thumbs up for them..

This is the second round match which Cybertime dubbed as the toughest match of their campaign.Sk and Lich vs Chena and Vengeful top , Zeus and Akasha come up against Veno and THd bottom while Viper soloed Warlock at mid. Early game was quite even in terms of kills where both sides score some nice kills over each other. Sandking got dagger by level 7 , THd opting for Dual Breath and stats which i think is not wise as it forgoes Ice Path which would ultimately cost Auto-Fun later.

A battle at Sents mid tower shows how powerful THD is in team battles. Still , the lack of Ice Path level denied Scourge an outright victory. Chen spent too much in the game without any creeps with him which i think is also a negative point in their game. 30 mins gone and the Warlock got his Refresher Orb and scored some nice team battle victories with double inferno. Vs also got its Aegis by then. From the outset, things are looking quite good for Auto-Fun.

The Warlock seems to be very pumped with a bkb and point added into its items at the 40th min push. Once again , Cybertime stopped their push and delayed the game a bit more. The push by Scourge at the 44th min presents their best chance to winthe game. The lack of stun by Scourge really wasted alot of opportunities for them and they still cant breakthrough. A few more pushes only serve to let Cybertime farm out more items. By the hour mark , with Sandking and Zeus got thier diffusal blade , Lich got its Mekanism , Akasha got its Aegis , it is clear that Scourge cant win.

A counter push by Cybertime after a failed one by Autosurf at the 11th min after the hour resulted in mid raxes of Scourge got destroyed hence ensuring a Cybertime victory.Autosurf could have done better with this mass AOE strat. Chen having more creeps and THD maxing Ice Path early could have well changed the tide of the game. Cybertime did well by defending the base ensuring them ample time to farm out nice items.

Final score : 40-31
MVP : Warlock (14-6) :SkylorD.Auto

DNA-SK vs Wizz-Rev

DNA-SK (Scourge) : Syllabear , Warlock , Zeus , Sandking , Akasha
Wizz- Rev (Sent) : Necrolyte , Vengeful , Viper , Chen , Sven

This is the quarterfinal match between the SMM National Champions against the reigning WCG champions. It is interesting to note that Wizz is also the runnerup at the SMM Championships. Since that eventful final few months ago , both teams meet again each has a point to prove. Wizz came with a make-shift team with combined members from the WCg runner-up team Wizz 2 as some members from both teams cant make it. SK came into its first tournament with new acquisition Nataku which has proved himself to be one of the best soloers around replacing Angel who is busy with his studies at the moment.

The early stages of the game was marked with a ward war between both teams as SK warded every creep spot to prevent Chen from getting his creeps early on while Wizz-Rev get Sentries to destroy the wards instead . This ward battle at bottom lane goes back and forth and its a nice battle to see.
Syllabear at top lane faced a slight problem soloing against Necro and Vs as it dies a few times there. The Sven and Chen and bottom lane also cant do much against the trio of Akasha , Zeus and SK. The middle lane battle is evenly matched pitting Warlock against Viper.

The teams were evenly matched almost all game. Displaying some nice teamwork and support power. By the 40th min , Akasha has its Skadi , Bear has its Radiance , Warlock has Midas and Euls , Necro got its Diffusal and Heart , Sven got its Bkb. The real battle begins from there on. With pushes and counter pushes marks the intensity of the game. A few items bought by both teams determines the game. Wizz opted for a mass BKB strat while SK's Zeus , Warlock's blink dagger strat and Bear's aegis proves to be a smarter choice.

The turning point in the game comes at the 3 min battle for Scourge's second mid tower. A force push by Rev goes horribly wrong as SK managed to hold off the push with Akasha's time wasting technique a good one to watch and in turn killed all of them in one clash. Another failed force push by Rev at the 5th min after the hour mark enabled SK to swiftly respond by doing a counter push into Rev's top lane. This push destroyed one of Rev's top rax and tipped the scales heavilly into SK's favour. Akasha then got its Rapier and SK start pushing bottom. Surprisingly , Rev did not put up much of a fight and the bottom 2 raxes got destroyed while Zeus got its BEYOND GODLIKE kill along the way. Game ended at 1:14 after SK destroyed all of Rev's raxes and Akasha picking up a BEYOND GODLIKE kill before game ends.

The score board does not represent the intensity of the game. Both teams showed why they are so highly regarded as one of the best teams around. Although far from full strength , both teams put up a great battle for all the fans to see . Nice game!

Final Score : 38-15
MVP : Zeus (14-3) : DNA-SK Kyoshi

Autosurf-Dh vs Elites

Autosurf-Dh : Chen , Enigma , Vengeful , Warlock , Akasha
Elites at scourge : Viper , Venomancer , Pugna , LOA , Zeus

This is a quarterfinal match former Elites member Odin's newly formed Autosurf team against his old team mates. Highlights of early game is the Viper against Akasha top in which Viper clearly wins with superior micro. Pugna soloes the Warlock mid in hope of Nether Wards to counter Warlock's constant Shadow Word harrassing. The pick of Chen by Autosurf is obviously is to prevent Paulyan from getting his favourite hero. But nonetheless , he packs a punch with his Viper as he outlevels Akasha by 2 early game.

Sadly , his teammates kept on got caught by Autosurf's unpredictable style of playing , most notably the Chen. His roamings often brings some kills to his teams. By mid way of the game , Auto is dominating. The push for the second mid tower at the 44th min highlights this fact. From there on , Elites game went for a free fall. Their coordination seems out and Auto outsmarted them in every turn. Raxes by raxes gone down and Elites lost shortly after the hour mark.

Overall , nice drafts and control by Auto. Their timing is perfect and their farming is good. Fully deserved victory

Final score : 30-6
MVP : Chen (4-0) : Dh.Odin

DNA-SK vs GF

DNA-SK : Akasha , Viper , Venomancer , Vengeful , Sven
GF at Sents : Chen , Bane , Warlock , Bear , Sandking

After got outplayed by the emerging Autosurf-Dh team at the semifinals , DNA-SK is desperate to redeem themselves in this 3rd-4th placing match up against a relatively unknown team. GF has been a relatively unknown clan that hails from Seremban. The long trip north to KL surely does not deter them from joining the fun against top clans here. The draft of Chen by Gf is partly due to them got outplayed by a good Chen by Cybertime in their semi-final matchup.

Game starts with DNA-SK warding every creep spot thus nullifying the threat of the Chen . DNA-SK also scored an early first blood catching the Chen off guard. Veno , Sven , Vs at bottom against Chen and Bear , Viper and Akasha soloed their lanes against Warlock and Bane , SK respectively. From then to mid game , DNA-SK just displayed what it takes to be good. Support in killings and retreats are as what we expect from the SMM champions.

Fast forward to mid game , GF run a mass creep strat. With Warlock's inferno , Chen's creep , and Bane's necrominions , GF forced push DNA-SK at mid resulting in some gains for GF. With Skadi up by the 35th min , Akasha really epitomizes DNA-SK's owning situation. A few more pushes by Gf only serve to feed SK even more. The push at the 45th min although managed to destroy SK's base tower , only serves to show that GF cannot win . By the 50th min , SK broke the mid rax of GF and Viper got its aegis rapier up not long after.

Some counter pushes that almost caught SK off guard makes the game interesting to watch towards the end . Ultimately , DNA-SK win at the hour mark with the destruction of all raxes of GF.

Final Score : 50-10
MVP : Akasha (20-2) : DNA-SK XtincT
