Xbox One with bluetooth controller look slightly different than older controller without bluetooth.



Yes, can use any bluetooth adapter. But last time when I pair with bluetooth, it doesn't work that great.
If you going to buy bluetooth adapter, better buy wireless receiver for Xbox One controller. Look for 2nd generation one as it have better improvement and support using earphone that connected to the controller too.

Series X and S controllers has lower input lag on PC vs the older One S/X controllers. Just saying.

There is about a 6-12ms on average lower latency on the Series X/S controller over the Xbox One OG/S/X gen controller.

Not a huge difference, it's barely half a frame on a 60fps game. But if you play at 120fps or more, then that suddenly becomes more than 1 frame of input latency.
If you already have the One S/X controller, no there isn't really a point in getting the Series X/S version.

Panasonic Eneloop is no longer the best, they're now made in China and actually does not have as many recharge cycles as the OG Sanyo Eneloop.

The best right now is the Fujitsu Rechargeable battery. FDK Corp bought over the old Sanyo factory, so ALL the technologies from Sanyo is now used by Fujitsu to make their batteries in Japan. Basically what I'm saying is Fujitsu rechargeable batteries are now re-wrapped Sanyo Eneloops, but cheaper than Panasonic's rebranded Eneloop.
Those 2 are the same. The second link comes with an extra USB-C cable.

Both of them are also wrongly named, those are the Series X controllers. There is no such thing as a "core" controller.

I also saw impulse selling xbox elite series x at rm749 per controller. Whats the premium about that?

- LB/RB bumper buttons are slightly shallower, so it conforms more to those with shorter index fingers.

- D-pad is now a hybrid circular disc instead of a + shape. Like it or not is preference.

- There is now perforated texture on the triggers, it is also matte material instead of gloss.

- Input lag is lower but only on Xbox Series X, Win10 hasn't have any driver update yet to bring it in line with XSX input latency levels.
Yes the new controller will pair with any BT adapter as long as it's 4.0 and above. However connecting with BT does have higher input lag (this applies to the older Xbox One X/S controllers as well).

So honestly, that's not new at all.

To me, input lag on BT is significantly worse than with the wireless adapter. Wired is still the best of course, but the wireless input latency with the wireless adapter is low enough that only if you play competitively then the difference matters.

Yup for Windows 10, unfortunately if you want the lowest input lag - you have to use cable.

Or you could just get the wireless adapter? It's really quite good. Only ~10ms behind wired, not really a big difference unless you're gonna use the controller for fighting games (which is terrible because the dpad sucks anyway).

It's a one time cost, not that expensive when you think about it since the technology is proprietary.

All BT adapters will have higher input lag than the official wireless adapter. The issue isn't the BT adapters specifically, it's that the BT connection protocol used for the controllers isn't good enough.

Believe it or not, some batteries do not provide a proper 1.2v output from when it's fully charged vs when it has only 30% left. The lower the charge there is on the battery, the lower that voltage output becomes. Guess what happens when the voltage drops? Well, if you use a headset with the controller, the audio would suddenly become weaker. Guess what also happens with a low charge? Input lag GOES UP!

This is something Microsoft will never tell you and most people won't realize it.

Ikea LADDA is also rewrapped Eneloops by Panasonic, but those are made in China instead of Japan at Fujitsu's FDK plant (which Fujitsu bought over the old Sanyo plant). Not a huge difference, but the Panasonic made ones do not have as many recharge cycles as Fujitsu's.

The LADDA is the best value though, since they're RM40 for 4 pieces of AA compared to Panasonic's which are RM55 for 4 pieces.
