I hope the made for windows wireless xbox one controller bundle comes out on September itself~
*
They will.
But don't expect it to be much cheaper than buying the controller and wireless receiver separately.

then need to wait till a china version of the dongle comes out hahaha...  tongue.gif

Wouldn't hope on that. There were rip-offs for the 360 wireless usb dongle, was selling on ebay for less than $5 usually. But they either don't work or when they do work, the input lag on them is HORRIBLE. Absolutely unplayable kind of horrible.

find a way to connect xbox one controller with xbox 360 adapter for pc
*
There's no way.

1) Both wireless adapters uses a different 2.4ghz frequency first and foremost. 2.4ghz freq. is not a general band.
2) Different network controller on the adapters, again this means that there is zero chance for it to connect to one another.
3) Different throughput and protocol for both controllers and adapters, so again... zero chance of it happening.
4) I don't know why you'd assume that there was a way in the first place.

wow guess i found my answer here already.... not available in malaysia, dammit what the hell is going on between microsoft and this country, even the surface pro is not launched/available here.

Anyone here nice enough to update me when the controller and wireless donggle for the XBOX one controller is available. Thanks in advance

Piracy.

It's an open secret lol. Microsoft doesn't care about Malaysia, thus they don't have to waste time and resource to launch products here where they know majority won't even buy their products in the first place.

Your best bet is to import from SG or go SG and buy. Either ways.

Someone here know any SG online store sites? In malaysia, we have lelong.com.my , lazada.com , etc.

What are the equivalent popular online stores at SG ? ebay.sg ??? any ideas ?? i'm thinking of buying it and sending it to my friend's  apartment and have him bring it back if possible.
*
Just buy from lazada.sg? It's equally as popular there.

The xbone wireless adapter isn't flawless unfortunately. Rumble doesn't work on Win7 and the same BSOD issues (from Win 10) still happen on Win 8.1.

So... yeah. Don't believe everything you read.

Been testing out the adapter on Win 7.

Rumble works and doesn't work, depending on the game.
Games I tried that works:
- Ryse
- Batman Arkham Knight
- Project CARS

Games I tried that didn't work:
- GTAV (lmao wtf?)
- Assassin's Creed Syndicate (yeah, wtf?)

Using a cable, rumble works right away without even exiting the game. doh.gif

Next, syncing issues.
This is incosistent, out of 6 PC restarts, 4 times my Xbone controller didn't automatically sync to my PC. Twice it did. Wtf?

Also, audio from the 3.5mm jack doesn't work on Win 7 right now.

So yeah, for those wanting to spend RM140 to get the adapter only and is on Win 7, forget it.
At least not until MS release proper drivers.

Well even on my Win 10 system, it isn't exactly flawless. I've had the issue where rumble will just continue on way longer (like 4 or 5 secs longer) than it should whenever it occurs in a game.

So... yeah. MS made this adapter more expensive than its 360 dongle, but yet it performs worse. doh.gif

Sticking to cable for now.

Dont think its worth it buy the XBOne controller, probably my biggest regret since need to use wired usb cable(i dont have the wireless dongle) and a lot of time the cable will just gone bad and have to buy new cable every 2-3 months. Mine is probably special case since i use 3 meter length wise instead of the normal one meter.
*
My USB cable is 5 meters, been using for 2 years lol. No issues.
If you are going to go long length, get a thicker gauge cable (lower AWG). Mine is 18AWG, the standard is usually 24-28.

i see. the external battery is AA type right? i don really like this design.. Last time the xbox 360 one will keep dc becos of the battery set got the contacting point owes loose..
*
The battery housing is integrated into the shell of the controller now, rather than a separate pack like on the 360 controller. Been using the xbone controller for 3 years now with batteries, never had an issue with it in regards to power.

lower input is good right?
*
Yes lower input latency is always good, because the the One X/S controllers were quite bad IMO to begin with.

QUOTE(miyakochan89 @ Jan 13 2021, 02:36 PM)
This one is it?

The models all look the same with minor differences, i spotted some sellers selling older models disguised as new model ok?

*
Yes that's the one.

Just buy from reputable seller like the one you linked and you should be fine getting the latest model. The differences may sound minor, but actually is quite noticeable.

Didn't know they made improvement on latency too.

But people are complaining Series X/S controller more laggy than One controller over bluetooth. Maybe driver not yet optimized. Or over bluetooth is just not ideal.
https://www.reddit.com/r/RocketLeague/comme...input_lag_over/
*
That's a BT issue that extends to the old controllers and also PS4 and PS5 controllers too. Windows and Intel need to fix their shit, not the perihperal's fault.

If you use the official xbox dongle instead, the input latency is very much lower.

wow u tested? Im still on 1st gen xbox one controller with ms adaptor wonder huge difference in latency ?
*
There is about a 6-12ms on average lower latency on the Series X/S controller over the Xbox One OG/S/X gen controller.

Not a huge difference, it's barely half a frame on a 60fps game. But if you play at 120fps or more, then that suddenly becomes more than 1 frame of input latency.

I am using official Xbox dongle, means no point for me getting the new version right?
*
If you already have the One S/X controller, no there isn't really a point in getting the Series X/S version.

It's just more convenient to play with certain games. Also got the vibration to make things more intense.
Thinking to get Eneloop, it's the best one.
Yeah I always confused with them.
*
Panasonic Eneloop is no longer the best, they're now made in China and actually does not have as many recharge cycles as the OG Sanyo Eneloop.

The best right now is the Fujitsu Rechargeable battery. FDK Corp bought over the old Sanyo factory, so ALL the technologies from Sanyo is now used by Fujitsu to make their batteries in Japan. Basically what I'm saying is Fujitsu rechargeable batteries are now re-wrapped Sanyo Eneloops, but cheaper than Panasonic's rebranded Eneloop.

So i need a controller for fifa games.

I saw many different type of xbox controllers on lazada its really confusing

Xbox core controller  https://s.lazada.com.my/s.cKBHd
Xbox wireless with usb c https://s.lazada.com.my/s.cq0P9

And many other xbox controllers

I need clarification and guidance please which one is best
*
Those 2 are the same. The second link comes with an extra USB-C cable.

Both of them are also wrongly named, those are the Series X controllers. There is no such thing as a "core" controller.

Thanks guys. Will make a trip ltr to impulse sunway as its near me and can game instantly later. Both pricing similar after coupons with impulse 254 and the former 255 for one wireless controller with usb c

I also saw impulse selling xbox elite series x at rm749 per controller. Whats the premium about that?
*
Elite and Elite V2 are just much higher quality build than the standard controllers. You can extra paddles to map your face buttons so you can activate them with your pinky or ring fingers. For the V2, it's also built in Li-Ion battery, so you only need a cable to recharge it.

But the Elite do have QC issues though. Analog stick drifting being the most prominent one. Input lag being higher than the standard controllers also and the buttons can also fail prematurely. Paying a premium but not getting premium QC. That said, aside from the issues (if you get a perfect sample), it is MUCH better than the standard controllers.

The one most prominent feature for the Elite V2 I can't live without is being able to tighten the tension on the analog sticks, I do not like the standard controller's tension. Much more used to DualShock tension, so only Elite V2 has tuning feature to mimic that.

other than the share button on the controller, what else is different?
currently, I'm using the previous version without the share button, xbox one s controller with the original BT adapter.
Just curious will the new controller pair with my current BT adapter?
*
- LB/RB bumper buttons are slightly shallower, so it conforms more to those with shorter index fingers.

- D-pad is now a hybrid circular disc instead of a + shape. Like it or not is preference.

- There is now perforated texture on the triggers, it is also matte material instead of gloss.

- Input lag is lower but only on Xbox Series X, Win10 hasn't have any driver update yet to bring it in line with XSX input latency levels.

Yes the new controller will pair with any BT adapter as long as it's 4.0 and above. However connecting with BT does have higher input lag (this applies to the older Xbox One X/S controllers as well).

The old dongle still works yes. The new one there is no difference other than size.
