Just curious to know.

What peripherals are you using with you PC at the moment?

I am just using the Xbox One controllers which I recommend and Steam Controller which I won't recommend.

im still on xbox360 controller , is the steam controller that bad ?
*
Well, not bad just not as useful as I thought.

Configurations for Steam games are a mixed bag. I think that is the most important at the moment.

im curious how shooter games will benefit from the touchpad? My 360 controller is still working fine its 3 years old only the battery casing is giving issues keeps disconnecting, saw on ali express the sell the covers for mighty cheap.
*
The games most suitable for Steam Controllers would be games like Max Payne series, Saint Rows series, GTA V and also turn-based games (eg. XCom series and Civilization 6 series). However, aiming with the touchpad is marginally better than thumb stick but still prefer to use wireless keyboard for movement and wireless mouse for aiming.

Yeah... i was wondering how ppl play fps game using controller... it just doesn't feel right especially for aiming.... mouse is always better... smile.gif

That is the ideal position for a desk setup which I still think is a best setup for PC Gaming.

I will be dedicating a room for that in the future. For now, I will stick with my living room setup.

Guys. Those who had both xbox one (non elite) and 360 controllers, how much is the difference? Is the price difference (rm 100+) for wireless plus pc adapter worth it?
*
Xbox One controller is more comfortable than the Xbox 360 controller. If you can afford, suggest to go with Xbox One controller.

I have the wireless PC Adapter for Xbox One controller, worth it since you can have more than 4 to one wireless PC Adapter.

You can buy one (ie. Xbox One controller) with the PC Adapter and the 2nd one you can buy the controller by itself.

Hmm, that is true also.

I bought mine from Amazon though but it cost quite a bit more.

*
Bought it (comes with Xbox One controller) from Amazon plus shipping to Indonesia around RM300.

Guys, I don't have any notification sound from Windows 10 when I unplug/plugin my XBOX One controller via USB. The controller still works fine. Is this normal?

Because all USB hardware will give out notification sound or bing when I plug or unplug something. My XBOX 360 controllers also will have the notification sound from Windows 10.

Kindly advise.
*
It is normal, sometimes mine have the unplugging sound, sometimes not.

I see. Thanks for the info biggrin.gif

The only issue I have encountered for the Xbox One controller is that the stuck shoulder buttons. It has also happened to my Razer Serval Gamepad which is basically the same as Xbox One Controller.

I have managed to fix it via performing "surgery" to my controller with a Philip head screwdriver and a flat head screwdriver.

Oddly, this did not happen to my wired Xbox 360 controllers which are almost a decade old.

I have encountered this kind of issue. The right handle is loose and creaky due to the lousy and cheap build; snap on plastics.

Possible FIX;

Conclusion;

I have a T8 screwdriver, tightening those screws don't produce any result.

I wonder if the Xbox One Elite controller is more durable. However, I do find Elite controllers too pricey.

Hi guys, I'm new to the whole controllers thing, just got myself an Xbox One controller, with the wireless adapter bought separately. Hope you guys can help me out with this issue I'm facing. I've installed the drivers but what's happening now is when I use the controller in wired mode I don't get any problems, but when I use it in wireless mode, somehow my L1 and R1 buttons are mapped to the Select and Start buttons respectively. Can't solve this issue no matter how many times I reinstall the drivers. Driver files downloaded directly from Microsoft, using Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit.

I thought its only for windows 10? No issue on my controller so far on win10 just plug update controller firmware and play. But as i remembered xbox360 controller works fine on windows 7.
*
I am also in the same view as Vannus.

My understanding that the wireless Xbox One controller only works on Windows 10 with the anniversary update (which we will be forced to update anyways).

Seems lazada and gem5 no stocks for xbone controller planning to buy next month price hike I presume due to weak ringgit
*
Perhaps, seems like Ringgit is depreciating significantly against USD (ie. around USD1 to RM4.4) and this will likely cause imported gadgets to be more expensive.

Hope things will improve soon.

Planning for fuji... most likely x-t10... almost bought but a shop telling me promo coming in Dec which is like 1 week away... so ask me to be patient a bit...

Any comments on photography? I am camera-less now so I need to buy a camera anyway....
*
I am also planning to get a compact camera either this year or next year. I was considering that as well but probably will go with Sony R something Mark IV.

Oh yeah, my XBox one controller can sometimes lose sync with the wireless PC adapter after not using for a long time. I would have to re-connect them again if that happens.
