Currently the HD-DVD drive is only available in the US. No Singapore version yet.

According to Wikipedia:

QUOTE
HD-DVD

While there is no Region Coding in the existing HD DVD specification the DVD Forum is currently developing a regional lockout scheme.

QUOTE
Blu-Ray

The Blu-ray movie region codes are different from the DVD region codes. The following are the region codes for Blu-ray discs:
Region code  Area
A/1  North America, Central America, South America, Korea, Japan and South East Asia.
B/2  Europe, Greenland, French territories, Middle East, Africa, Australia and New Zealand.
C/3  China, Russia, Central and South Asia.

I once read that they not planning to bring in the drive to Asian market at the moment due to low penetration of HD-DVD titles....mmm just like they not planning on selling Zune outside US.

The HD DVD add can also be used with a PC. and its $199 inclusive of a King Kong HD DVD and a remote control. No Blu-ray product can be obtained for less than $450
