no worries bro smile.gif

home brew is anytime better than franchise laugh.gif

by the way, where do you get your beans?
*
^ true story, once you go homebrew / quality cafe brews, it's hard to drink those franchise drinks... plus do the math for each cup vs franchise prices... nah... sweat.gif
like yesterday my junior told me Starbucks buy 1 free 1, I'm like... err no thanks sweat.gif

usually the website beanshipper.com or cafes that my lecturers recommend, such as Artisan Roast Coffee, Three Little Birds etc.. thumbup.gif

all coffee machine with capsule operated are useless. it might be useful for beginning of month but the machine will be left behind without touching after that. reason? capsule coffee are expensive, drinking the same taste over and over again are boring. 3 min interest.

if you would like to buy a coffee machine, buy those that you could fill up with powder coffee. then add your own milk, sweetener etc. that machine you could even make tea (powder form) those are cheaper and low maintenance.

which beans have you tried from Artisan? cos my taste a bit different, i dislike sourish/acidic, low cafeine... so Columbian, Sumatran out...

so far i like Illy's Dark Roast, Antipodean's Wamena and Old Dark (they get their beans from Merdeka Roast Indonesia though)

haha not hardcore until use thermometer,  sweat.gif
used to use electronic balance to measure coffee bean to water ratio (1:18) something like that
but after a few times, i find that abit too troublesome... so stopped using electronic balance
my lecturers does use electronic balance tho...
(was exposed to the world of drug addicts (coffee) by some lecturers where they gave a mini lecture session about coffees...  sweat.gif asked them for a "lab" session few weeks later )

electronic balance i got from my mom who doesnt use it for baking anymore, it was a gift from some family friends i think

p.s. still in college haha  sweat.gif but all the money that goes to coffee equipments/beans are from my own savings/part time money from interning... still manage to save up enough for new coffee beans every 2/3 months  thumbup.gif  icon_rolleyes.gif  rolleyes.gif

u don't have to use thermometer, in fact most baristas rely on feel of the heat as the milk steams to get the right foam for latter art
