Greeting & good day to all gurus & experts,

I've owned the Acer 5040 for month ago which run with Ati X200M vga int.card, i noticed there's a slight changes that at the appearance especially when i'm doing my artworks using Photoshop & Illustrator. I don't know how to explain well but lets put it simple this way...

When i 1st start up the notebook...and i got the photoshop & illustrator running, especially when i tried to apply the gradient colour onto certain artwork, it seems like the gradient did not render properly. they seems to be pixelated into afew sections of colour rendering which did not blend properly. but after a while like 1-2 hours of running/using the notebook, it started to render properly. the gradient seems to be show up accurately n blended properly no longer pixelated.

So i'm curious, worried and wondering why is this happening? Is it "common" or it's unusual? Software driver problem? or ...? Geezz i really dont know.

p/s: i've attached a jpeg as sample to indicate/explain roughly wat i'm experiencing with my screen when i doing my work on photoshop & illustrator.

Yeah, i own this one too,
i think tis one is common not to say problem, it's just
the ability of x200m to render the graphic properly
in certain amount of times.
My advice is try to update to the latest ati catalyst
and try again. Since u mention it's pixelated well later
i think tis could be something to do with either x200m or screen resolution

Hello Muzrix howdy man. First of all, thanks in a million! highly appreciate your soonest reply smile.gif according to ur reply, u're experiencing the same issue too? It happened most of the time or not often depend on how "warm-up" the vga card is?

Hhmmm...latest Ati catalyst? I've downloaded it from Ati.Amd's website but it cant be install altho i've deleted the default version which came along in the Acer CD when purchase this lappy that time. Any other alternatives? Is it safe if we use 3rd party drivers/software provided from OmegaDrivers as posted/suggested from foreign's website?

rclxub.gif my knowledge on pc is poor and this is my 1st time owning a notebook sad.gif so i'm extremely worried but thanks for ur reply. that really comfort me and convinced me alot thumbup.gif
