Anyone else experiencing / enjoying this? First day of a new bill cycle for me and it seems that my quota is now more than the usual 10GB? (Look at the last message at the bottom.)

QUOTE(patienceGNR @ Jun 8 2018, 09:55 AM) I noticed so as well. My cycle on 24th, saw got 12gb in total. Called them and they kinda brushed it off. It couldve been caused by the billing upgrade That aside, my gf who uses the same plan, cycle the same, 24th 11am already 3.3GB used up. She only started using the data like at 9am. No auto back up turned on (iPhone). Not the first this happened. QUOTE(fookinell @ Jun 8 2018, 01:54 PM) I notice that my Internet Usage on First 38 is draining much faster than previously despite similar pattern of usage. Does anyone has similar experience? I've been on this plan for 3 full years now and the only time I've ever ever had issues with them was them changing the dates of my bill cycle without my consent.Anyways, you guys should install apps that can keep track of your Internet usage. This really shouldn't be a problem, especially if you're on an Android phone. Some trackers allow you to track by apps, by day, week, month. From there, you'd be able to see what is draining your Internet quota. Could be your apps backing up your data for all you know (i.e. WhatsApp routine backup (drains a lot of data if it backs up videos as well), photos backup, Samsung backup etc). At least now you have proof if your data does drain but evidence shows nothing is draining your quota. Hope this helps. This post has been edited by ioB: Jun 10 2018, 11:35 PM |

Is there a way to check if the other person is on Celcom? To be able to enjoy the free calls.

QUOTE(stealer @ Sep 2 2018, 07:28 PM) can use the link below to check if the number from the same telco or not Thanks, super helpful.http://mnpcheck.skmm.gov.my/MNPQuery.aspx Also, has anyone here actually exhausted their options? I.e. went through the entire process with MCMC and Celcom? What's MCMC's take or final reply on this? I also just went through Celcom's T&C (https://www.celcom.com.my/legal/terms-and-conditions) and it says Celcom can alter our plans whenever they want. Obviously if this goes to court, this is moot. We got the plan because of what the plan offers so this term would not make any sense and in my opinion, would not be valid in court. |

QUOTE(westlife @ Sep 9 2018, 11:50 AM) yes, u carry forward 5GB but it was the 5GB u did not utilize at the begining. it was not something that was given extra. It doesn't matter if it was ours or not to begin with. The good thing about the plan is that it allows us to carry forward up to 5GB of unutilised data and that's what a lot of us like about it. Not many entry plans out there allow this. I always carry forward the maximum 5GB and I get to use that extra when I'm in a place where I don't have access to UniFi or WiFi so it's good enough. Doesn't matter if we utilise it all or not. That extra will come in handy one day when we need it.carry forward only carry forward maximum 5GB from previous month. so no matter how much you carry forwarded, it is still from previous month. let's say: Sept: 5GB (given quota this month) + 5GB (carry forwarded from Aug) | Quota used: 5GB (this month) Oct: 5GB (given quota this month) + 5GB (carry forwarded from Sept) | Quota used: 5GB (this month) to maintain that carry forward maximum 5GB, no matter how the max you can use is still 5GB monthly. and the 5GB you carry forwarded is still from previous month and not something extra. it is just like you preserve the 5GB and use it in the event that it is needed. like i said, the maximum carry forward 5GB is only useful if you do not use the data at all for the month which probably you are not outdoor at all for the entire month. else it is almost impossible to not using a single data and carry forward full 5GB. |

Anyone here ported to ookyo? It's RM30 for 5GB + 500 MB plus unlimited data for 4 apps of your choosing (Facebook, Spotify, Maps, YouTube, WeChat, WhatsApp etc) and unlimited calls and SMS to all network for RM8.
It's half of what Basic 38 offers in terms of data but I reckon the unlimited data for 4 apps offsets that. Plus, for the same price it comes with unlimited calls and SMS. Or just stick with the RM30 without the RM8 unlimited calls and SMS add on. Anyone here can provide some feedback? Edit: Since ookyo rides on Maxis' infrastructure, it should be as good as Celcom, if not better. This post has been edited by ioB: Sep 22 2018, 02:54 PM |
