Hi guys, i bought a used fofi mk7 2012. I can feel jerks at low speed. What I should I do and how serious is this? Does the warranty still valid? If it is not, how much will it cost? Is there any reliable workshop around jb that I can depend on?

If the car was registered before September 2012, it has 3 years warranty with possible extension to 5 years for the clutch and seals. If it registered after September 2012, then it will have 5 years warranty. The only way to find out is to visit your nearest service center or call SDAC customer service and give them your number plate to find out. If you have no warranty left, a clutch replacement typically costs RM4k-5k.

As for the juddering, It will judder no matter how many times you change the clutch. question is how strong is the judder....if light to mild judder when changing gear between 1-2 or 2-3, then it is normal, and can be controlled using the throttle. If the judder is very strong to the point the car shakes violently and hard to move, then this warrants a clutch replacement.

Rumors has it that there is a new clutch model coming, not sure if that helps.
Ppl stay in JB la dey.
*
That's a brief explanation. Thanks bro. So what do you suggest? As for my condition, I think the juddering is still mild but, once I felt the juddering were heavy. So I think the juddering is building up. 😧

The juddering at low speed is due to the oil seal?

Not neccesarily. Most of the time it's just DCT being DCT.

You can check for yourself, look at the clutch bell housing and see if there are any leaks.

So the juddering is due to this leak? Isn't it because of the seal? Falls under wear and tear?

falls under warranty.

Juddering not necessarily due to leak.

What was your fix? Sorry I couldn't be of much help, the menu settings for mk7 and mk7.5 are different
*
Just use the manual way to fold at first. It should be working fine with lock thereafter.
