Good afternoon everyone~

My OS: Window 7 home premium sp1 64bit

I just upgraded my dell optiplex 755 SFF with 8GB RAM (4 x 2GB each) when i power on it will keep beeping and lighted 3 & 4 (base on the web, it said that memory issue)

But when i remove 1 slot of the 2GB ram (Now become 6GB ram) it work.

I tries the ram 1 by 1 it show no problem at all, but when i put all of those ram into 4 slot, it keep beeping and lighted 3 & 4

Sometime (maybe lucky) , it successful boot up and while on the window loading screen (Before entering welcome screen) the computer automatic restarted.

I wolder what happen?

"Kingston DDR2 2GB 800" for all the 4 sticks of RAM?

What is the system RAM before you upgrade it?

Yup, that's the one. Absolute vanilla. No special settings. Let the system decide everything.
If it boots and runs properly, then you can change if you have special settings e.g. higher ram speed needed or change boot device priority.

The thing is to get it started first, right?

try ram test for each ram.

maybe 1 of the ram slot have dirt on it, due to long time lesft unused, try reseat the ram multiply time to get rid of the dirt that form up on the unsed ram slot.

I've tried. All of'em no problem including ram slot. (Cause my computer can run with 4 x 1GB ddr2 ram , only 4 x 2GB ddr2 ram can't)

I've default setting the bios but it seems the same. or maybe my computer need same mhz ram?

Total Ram is 8Gigs Max based on the Intel Q35 Chipset and Unbuffered DDR2 PC6400.

Is yours something similar or?

Double sided ram, I know some Dell motherboards just don't work right if all slots filled with it.

That could be one of the possible reason. Counter check the ram for clearance?
