Anyone travel with their drone? Especially to Australia/New Zealand.
How do you pack your drone ? Also , do you
have to put in it checked baggage?
Thanks
General rule of thumb. Drone in checked baggage, batteries in carry on
Better read up on their drone laws before you bring a drone there. Sometimes you need to have a drone operator's license/permit to bring in one, and even then you can't simply fly it in sensitive areas like national parks/housing areas/airports
Worse comes to worst, they may confiscate/detain your drone at the airport

been reading few time in phantom 3 owner facebook group, mostly respond I see is need to hand carry the battery. wrap it or tape the contact at least.+
Note that I, myself never take my drone yet on a planeĀ

Honestly, there's just too many laws/restrictions against drones. Some countries have even banned drones, and may not allow you to enter with your drone. Too much hassle really. They are really cool and all, but kinda useless when you wanna travel with them
